less than impressed
I just had my first and only experience with Millicent salon. I had a haircut with Casey and was less than impressed. The salon was nice and the experience was ok, but Ive never had a cut and style performed as quick and with as little precision as this one. I described what I wanted, but apparently not in enough detail because while I have a VERY simple cut (straight across the back and layered around the face), the layers around my face were not done well. I wouldnt be too bothered with this considering I know its difficult to layer fine hair around the face, but I wasnt even shown the back of my hair after my cut or asked once during or after the cut if I was happy. I still don't know if the back of my hair is straight or not since I never saw it!. When I voiced my dislike of the front layers I was told my hair is fine and difficult to cut blended layers and no apologies or sympathy was offered. She tried to blend them more but just ended up continuing to cut back into the hair to try to blend the choppy layers and I just had to tell her to stop cutting and I will have to grow the choppiness out. My previous salons, dearinger and carlton, seemed to have no trouble blending my fine layers around the face. So I will continue to commute to my beloved salon in La Jolla and forget about finding a salon in La Mesa for now. If they had only seemed to at least care about my opinion I wouldnt be posting this review :(
