What a place. They provide coffee and breakfast pastries for your wait in the morning. At lunch/dinner you get a basket of melt in your mouth breads from their bakery. The carrot rasin bread is to die for! If they find out it's your first time there they bring you a too go box with 4 large homemade muffins from the bakery! The atmosphere is fantastic, I wouldn't have guessed that it would be so charming! The tables have live cut orchids on them. The best part is the value you get for you money! They have a menu that caters to EVERYONE from low fat and low carb to the buttery taste of high sugar desserts. Only thing they need to fix here is the service, it could be better.

Unfortunately the service at this location is hit or miss. The first time we visited right after opening, great! Since then we've gone from very poor service to just ok. Food quality is always good.

I'm a fan of Cafe Mimi's up by the Mall of Millenia - this was my first trip to this spot - so, I'm generally familiar with the menu. We were seated quickly and greeted by a server in a resonable time. My dad ordered from the "Lighter Fare" for a smaller portion. The menu said "1/2 sandwich with fruit" -- so I ordered Corn Chowder (he loves it) and the 1/2 sandwich for him and plate of spaghettini for myself. The soup that was delivered was the "soup of the day" (andouille sausage). It was taken back and replaced but delivered without a spoon. When I asked about the fruit, I was told "oh, you ordered the chowder" - something about the lunch menu offers options - well the lighter fare does not! I explained that we ordered the chowder as a side and would gladly pay for it but he wanted the fruit! All issues were handled without a problem (no charge for the chowder) - food was prepared properly and tasted good (I'll never get used to paying $10 for pasta!). I would certainly go again and read all menu choices very carefully !
