This restaurant is very cute. Atmosphere is nice. The menu is exotic and the food was mostly excellent, though you should skip the panna cotta. It is, however, overpriced for the quality of the surroundings and service. The waiter was too chatty, unhelpful, and frankly we felt like a homeless man had wandered in to serve us. He had no foreign accent or anything, but we still couldn't understand the words that were coming out of his mouth. He had to redo the bill 3 times and it took us 30 minutes to get out of there once we were ready to leave. Check out the menu though and if it looks good to you, it's probably worth the trip.

I've lived in the neighbourhood for years and keep comin gback to this restaurant. The food is wonderful and service to match. I'm a veggie and there is always somethin gnew and interesting for me to try, from super spicy veg cevice to sweet empanadas. Good date spot, just sit outside, the musician inside is a bit too loud for intimate conversation.

I was very unimpressed. We had two waiters, but we had to flag them down regularly. I had a pretty puny NY Strip, which was very fatty. It reminded me of the steak they serve at cafeterias like Picadilly. The risotto was bland. My wife's pork tenderloin was good, and she really liked her grits as well. The portions were very small. The peanut butter mousse cake tasted old and stale. The panna cotta was good though. We would have expressed our dissatisfaction, but we were never asked how our food was, so I guess no one cared.

We spent about $150 including tip and tax. The meal was worth about $30. We were there for a fixed-price Valentine's Day dinner, so perhaps they were serving food they don't normally cook. I won't be back to find out.

Mitra is a lovely place to eat. The setting and decor are great. The food is excellent, especially the appetizers and desserts, and we had very good service the night we were there.

The menu is great. Everything that I have tried has been great. We have always received great attentive service. Always sat right on time.
