Awful doesn't begin to describe this mess. The writing was on the wall the minute we arrived. Sure wish we had paid attention. Costly mistake. Bad food, bad service, and expensive to boot. Even after sending our food back, and giving them a second try to make it right, they STILL sent it to the table in an unacceptable state. BE WARNED!!!

Ok, so this place wasn't absolutely awful, but we definitely won't be going back for a couple of reasons. It's buried randomly in the not-so-gracefully-aging Hotel Midtown, sectioned off from the lobby by a sheer purple curtain reminiscent of a somewhat sleazy VIP lounge. There patio seemed nice, but the interior was dated with its mauve and green color scheme. It all seemed far too formal and stuffy, but without actually managing to be truly formal. The layout was just absolutely bizarre. The whole place just felt makeshift. Our waitor's first words were, "What's up?". Not a good start. We instantly ordered drinks, one mango and one passion fruit mojito, which were honestly phenomenal. We ordered the crab cake, but much to our surprise we got 1 lonely small patty for $11. It did boast large chunks of crab, but seemed as though it had been frozen. We each had salads as our entree, both of which were quite tasty (I had mine topped with grilled shrimp), but there were several noticeably spoiled greens on both of our plates. We had the flan for dessert, rounding out our meal with yet another average dish. Despite the fact that neither of us ordered an actual entree, we ended up paying $75 for this mess. We concluded that Mojito is rather proud of their food, however undeserving it may be. If they either upped their quality or lowered their prices along with updating their facility, this place might be worth reconsidering. Thank goodness for good mojitos at least!
