These guys are the very worst! We used them to finish our basement. We paid top $ thinking they are very reliable and professional. First, they totally screw up the zoning system of the house. The installers were hooked the new ducts to any zone they pleased as a result of which we had to turn on all zones to get the basement to heat or cool. We complained to the management and they sent a replacement team to fix it. Now a yesr later, the vent pipes have started to fall off. I had a home inspector take a look at the installation and he said they used low thermal adhesive. The glue melts when we turn on the furnace and the air duct pipes fall off!!! That was a blatant violation of code and they used low cost adhesives.... Save your $$$ you're better off dealing with a less expensive, more reliable company!

I called Reliable for an HVAC issue. Technician was OK but failed to throughly check a specific issue I mentioned to him on the AC unit but he insisted that he did and was extremely impatient with me. AC unit in question was infact defective as I discovered that evening. During a previous service event they installed a very expensive air filtration system. The installation was sloppy. Techs left sheet metal screws and insulation allover the carpet in my son's room and elsewhere in the house. Supervisor had to come and clean up the mess. Because of my concerns about this poor service they promised in writing to refund a portion of the service bill but 6 months later still no check. I would not use them again!

I used this company for 15 years. Once upon a time, I would have given them 5 stars across the board. Their service was of the highest caliber and I was always very pleased and recommended them at every opportunity. Then in the last couple of years I noticed a rapid deterioration in the quality of service and the technicians that would come to my home were no onger familiar to me and would seem flummoxed by some of the simplest issues. The last tech who came to my house couldn't even install the Spacegard filter, he had to call a co-worker. BUT THEN, purely by happenstance, I found out through a friend that the owner was ousted in some hostile corporate takeover by his ex wife a couple of years ago.... Yep, you guessed it...right when the service and quality started to go down the tubes. I saw an ad for the "new" Reliable and called it, and sure enough, the man who started the company back in the 7's has opened up right down the street as Reliable Heating and Air also. I scheduled my spring maintenance check-up and it was just like it used to be. All the good and experienced technicians went to work for the new Reliable, and I am once again a happy customer. IF YOU ARE DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY, MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR DAN JAPE. If they say he doesn't work there, then you have the WRONG Reliable.

I am sorry that you felt the quality of your service had deteriorated. The personal issues of the Japes should be just that. Barbara Jape has been with the company since 1983 and has always been in charge of the Service Department and Customer Service. The service technicians and installers, at the time of your service were for the most part the same ones that had been employed for many years.
They gave me a good price for a furnace, A/C, Ductwork and Honeywell filter. They showed up on time and completed the work on time. The only complaint is that they didn't clean up as well as I would have liked.

Pricing was good. Expertise of installers minimal. I reported the problems by phone and e-mail, but no one ever conducted the post installation followup, or replied to my complaints.

I haven't had the issues other's did. I've used Reliable H&A for the past year and a half with no issues or complaints. Their far and above better than one of the other HVAC companies on this site. In fact, I just had Reliable come out for an issue on one of my AC units. They came out (early) and did a little work diagnosing my issue. Unfortunately, I found out my AC unit is about to go. Straight forward and honest. I'll stick with them.

We knew our 20 year old HVAC was wasting energy and about to give up the ghost so we called them to schedule a visit to advise us on a good replacement. They were on time, professional and didn't try to sell us more than we needed for the sq.footage in our home. The install crew were also on time, professional and made the install process a breeze. With the exception of a fan motor that burned out 2x (which they promptly replace both times at NO CHARGE), the unit has been trouble free for 8 years. I could not have been happier.

We worked with this company on four occasions at two diiferent houses. Each time their service personnel were prompt, professional, and courteous. The prices were reasonable. They clearly explained what was wrong and what needed to be done. They recommended minimum changes to repair our AC systems, unlike a couple of other companies we talked to that tried to sell us thousands of dollars worth of unnecessary repairs.

We choose Reliable b/c they offered the best price for 2 new furnaces, good ones too. The only problem I had to schedule them to come out 4 times. The first time they never showed, the second they did not have the right equipment, the third they did half the job. I just had my air cond. serviced and found out that Reliable did not connect a wire back so I had to pay for another company to fix what they undid. And there was a piece that wasn not screwed in on our new system, so I had to pay for someone to fix that too.

I don't have much experience with Heating and Air companies, but know that it is an area that can get very expensive, especially if the company isn't honest. I called Reliable becuase I have seen them nearby and was pleased with their person on the phone, the technician that they sent to my home and I felt that the price was fair. The technician showed me what was wrong, explained what needed to be done and did the work in a timely manner. When my heat wasn't working again a couple of days later, they came right back out at NO charge to make sure that it was completely fixed and I have had no troubles since then. It's good to know they stand behind their work and didn't try to rip me off for more money just becuase I don't know anything about Heating & Air. I would recommend them.

We have used this company for our heating and air needs for the past few years, since we moved into Cherokee County. I've always found Reliable's staff to be courteous and knowledgeable. The installation department especially has been great, and the office staff is always friendly and helpful. Probably the most important thing, their prices are competitive. Recommended.
