This is an UNDERSTAFFED facility, which needs to have the state come in and shutdown. Yes, it LOOKS beautiful and new, but that is ALL. Majority of the staff is untrained and uncaring. Residents are left in their own "filth" for MULTIPLE hours at a time even after they request to be changed. There is TOO much "that is not my job" response at this facility. Call lights are turned off and resident is told I'll get someone to help you. The residents then have to wait for the ONE person in the whole staff that does that job. The number of patients that have to be sent back to the hospital with broken bones is unreal. The man that has the portable x-ray business in this town should be given a room at this facility since his van is outside every night to check out patients' falls and arm twisting that goes on here. Last night's (Friday 18 March 2011) shower drop was a gash to patient's head would seem to be enough that people would be concerned for the residents. This place is almost at the maximum capacity with VERY little increase in staff. The Director of Medicine of this place turns a blind eye to what is going on also. Yes, other residents families and myself are recommending to all that we can to keep your loved one out of this VERY expensive facility that LOOKS great.
