bought my bike in 2007,took it in for service and oil change, found out the next time I changed my oil they had wrapped the drain plug with teflon tape, they never said a word about it and they stripped out a screw on the windshield.

Not the dealership I would have expected anymore
Sorry to say I have to agree with 'bula1'. I have followed the the dealership since it was in Allen Park, to its move to Westland, then to Farmington Hills. I have been a frequent visitor to Motor City and even purchased several bikes from them while Mr Rose was in the lime-lilght. He built the dealership up with quality staff that knew about the products and what it ment to ride. \r\rIn the past month, I went to look at the bikes and buy some harley 'branded' items. The bikes were there (didn't talk to a sales person for 15 minutes, only one of them on the floor and no one at welcome desk during that time); the clothing was more from the last riding season (saw most of the clothes at other deaerships about six months ago). I did make it the parts department to buy a couple of oil filters, and was treated rudely by the parts person (think name was Jo). \r\rNot sure what happened, but this is not my dealership of choice when I am in the area. It used to be good!

Going elsewhere
Ever since Mr. Rose retired (2004) the overall quality of MCHD has deteriated. The new management doesn't care about its customers. \r\rStarting with the Service Dept. most of the quality Tech's have departed from the employ of MCHD. Ray, the service manager, tries to make amends when the service work is not completed correctly. All of the older, more seasoned Tech's departed when they were told they were only going to be paid based on the ""shop rate book"" rates and times. \r\rI have had two bikes taken in for service; one for an oil change which was returned without any oil being placed back into the engine.(Luckily, I checked it out prior to getting on the road.) The other, it took them 4 tries to correct the problem and even then it wasn't done correctly.\r\rThe bike sales department has had a major turn-over and basically has non-riders, even though JJ, Tom and Bill are still around. Skip has 'passed on' and was the backbone of the sales staff.\r\rThe Motorclothes department has also had a major turnover. Gina, who was the Motorclothes for several years and was a rider has been replaced by a non-riding former Lord-n-Taylor fashon consultant who seems to only 'order' most items in size 1 or 2 in the womens lines and no larger than a 32 waist for the men. Also, most of the clothes are not riding clothes but are for fashon only.\r\rAs was said by one of the department managers several times in the last two years, ""the Customers are here for the dealership""; shouldn't that be turned around. The Detroit area is swamped with over 10 dealerships within a 2 hour drive (including dealerships in the Ontario Canada area) and numerous independant Harley repair shops.\r\rSorry, I may not be able to turn back the hands of time, but I will no longer support a dealership with an ego larger than its customer base.
