A shop I can actually trust
Normally I do most of my car repairs myself, but my recently purchased pre-owned BMW was too nice for me to play mechanic on. I called around or visited at least six shops in my search for a repair shop. As soon as I talked to Tony and saw the facility I knew this was the place for me. Tony took the time to talk with me about every issue with my car, explaining everything in detail. Tony was honest, straight forward, and had competitive prices. I would recommend this shop to anyone with a make of car that they service.
Thanks for making what is usually an anxiety filled experience as painless as it can be.

Good customer service during a very bad situation
Short version of my story:
Brought my car into Motorcars for a rear main seal replacement.
After the service was complete my car began shifting very hard. I returned to motorcars, and had them take a look at it. They told me they couldn't find the problem and I would need to bring it to a Honda dealer.
Brought it to the Honda dealer, who told me the problem was cracked motor mounts.
Brought it to a third mechanic, who told me the motor mounts were cracked, but the transmission also had other problems. Had the motor mounts replaced, and transmission is still not any better.
According to Motorcars nothing they did could have caused the problem, and I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say it could be an idiosyncrasy, but I still don't have an answer as to what is wrong with my car, or what caused it.
Tony and Walter were always polite and professional with me, and when I posted my negative review contacted me within an hour to attempt to correct the situation which I greatly appreciate.

Response to Previous Complaint
Tony and Walter, your response regarding last week, There were no threats made it's too easy to leave and make another choice. ONE THING YOU FAILED TO STRESS WAS THAT I CALLED YOU ON MY WAY. YOU HAD AMPLE TIME TO LET ME KNOW THAT YOUR OTHER CUSTOMER WAS SITTING AT THE COFFEE SHOP AND THEY WOULD BE FINISHED FIRST. After all, my appointment was scheduled weeks prior and I did not want or expect to "go ahead" of anyone. I did ask that you take three seconds and hook the computer up so that I would know whether it was any all day job or not. By the way, I always continued to come to your facility only because of Jeff your mechanic and not you. He holds your business together and what is so sad is he is not allowed to speak unless he is told to. Wonder how he is treated?

The customer states that she has been client for 12-15 years (true). She then implies that she has been treated with “the utmost lack of respect”. The absurdity of the statement is obvious; an unhappy customer does not continue to do business with the source of her displeasure for over a decade.
The incident that precipitated this complaint involved the customer arriving for her appointment and demanding that her car be looked at immediately even though all technicians were engaged at the time with earlier arrivals. As it happened on this particular day, the other cars were “wait” rather than “drop-off” repairs. There was no ethical or fair way to pull a tech off an earlier arrival to accommodate the later customer; all had appointments (which are made for a particular day, not time slot). We gave her the choice of waiting, a rental car or to come back at a later time.
This customer persisted in her demands that we have her preferred tech stop what he was doing and immediately see to her car. We repeated that this was not possible. When she finally realized that continued badgering would not achieve her goal, she switched to threats, stating that she “could bring you down”.
It is our policy to treat all customers equally; however, a threat demanding that we satisfy the petulant demands of one customer at the direct expense of another is not acceptable. Our loyal customer base has been built over many years because we consistently try to “do the right thing”. We will continue to do so.

Helpful, Honest, Straight Shooter... THE BEST!
I cannot thank Tony enough for his help with getting my car to pass emissions. He took great care of me and didn't try to rip me off with repairs that weren't necessary. He saved me a lot of money and aggravation, no doubt. I HIGHLY recommend taking your car to this shop. You will get great service, honest answers and the peace of mind in knowing that you're not being robbed by a "Stealership". Thanks Tony! You're the man!

Finally....
Tony is The Man. I lost confidence in the dealers that were servicing my cars; I felt like I was a cash register for them to ring on a pre-arranged schedule. Motorcars services my Audi and my Acura; Tony always takes care to explain what he plans to do and make sure I understand what's necessary to make the repair match the problem, meaning, it's not immediately the "you need a new (insert expensive part name here)" response. Finally.. a guy I feel like I can trust.

Not cheap, but honest and knowledgeable
After having a nightmare of an experience with America's Service Station, who informed me that I needed my power steering pump replaced, I brought my car in to Motorcars Intl. for a second opinion. They correctly diagnosed my problem of a faulty O-ring. Although it was an expensive o-ring (approx $140 in labor for a $.50 part) it was still a lot cheaper then paying the other guys to replace a perfectly good pump.

Straight Shooter & Honest
No one likes to see an "idiot light" go off. Mine did and I immediately did a bit of internet research. Found the BMW geeks out there said that my ABS Control unit needed to be replaced. With a bit of research before coming to Tony & Crew I was better prepared for the joy of the cost of owning a 5 series. (I do love driving the car when it is tuned right) - so Tony said sure enough the unit needed to be replaced and I felt the price to do it at Motorcars was inline with what I thought it would be (still expensive, but I hear Mercedes owners have it much worse) so I said lets to it. So they got it all done in a day and the next day when I picked it up my car I was extremely pleased to see that I did not have a big ole list of "other things needed" - in fact I had zero. Tony said that they would put them there if something was needed, but in my case, I didnt need anything. I told Tony that by them not just sticking a few "to do's" on the invoice I was very impressed and felt even better doing business with him. So in closing - feel good about the transaction - just remember if you drive a car that cost $50k plus new, they aren't ever cheap to keep up. The law of the universe!

VW Engine Missing Problem Solved
I brought my VW GTI to Motorcars International to have a six month engine-missing problem investigated. To that time, I had had a six month, three repair shop odyssey (including a dealership) trying to get the problem resolved. They found an overheated terminal and the fuse link in about half an hour, repaired them and I have been driving the car for two weeks without a miss. Problem solved! Their attention to detail, desire to solve the problem in the least expensive way, and honesty are very refreshing, to say the least. It was worth the drive from Peachtree City.

These guys are crooks.
I paid these guys over $1200 to fix a brake light and a problem with the radio in my BMW. When I picked it up I realized nothing was fixed. Same problem with the brake lights, same problem with the radio. I took it back and THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME ANOTHER TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. I could not believe it.
No warranty? Huh? I will see these guys in court.

It is very frustrating to receive this type of review. This customer approved initial diagnosis and repairs. These were documented, as well as very specific warnings about possible and probable future issues. In addition we provided a very detailed description of the malfunction indicator light system reset requirements and the possibility of additional needs that would not be apparent until after the process had completed. The car left with no remaining symptoms. Car returned with active symptoms. Scanned for stored codes and then conducted systematic tests with suspected components isolated from rest of system for confirmation. Provided customer with estimate for repairs. Customer declined repairs. Customer was not charged for the retest.
Providing consistently high quality service and repair on a modern car requires a serious commitment in specialized equipment, and the training to utilize it effectively. Motorcars International has made this commitment and we stand behind our work with a strong warranty. We understand the frustration of a costly repair, but that does not justify making false accusations. We provide solutions to automotive problems. We document our findings. We go to extraordinary lengths to explain our findings. We work with our customers to help them make informed choices.

Excellent Excellent Excellent
There is something to be said about a company that offers incredible customer service and top quality work, Motorcars international is one of these companies. I needed to get my 525 BMW serviced. Tony and charles took the time to explain to me what was needed and what was Not needed to get my car in top shape. They were very friendly and knowledgable. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Period. I will ALWAYS take my BMW to Motorcars Int. and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who appreciates top of the line service and some of the friendliest mechanics around.
