A Frustrating Experience, 7/22/2011

I have seen two different doctors at Mount Vernon Eye Care, they were very courteous and professional, unfortunately I can not say the same for “the office”. I provided the office with my... insurance card at my last visit and they advised me (words to the effect) that your insurance does not cover this. I advised them that I believe that it did but they insisted that I make full payment immediately. A few weeks later I looked at the insurance providers Website and noticed that the office had not submitted a claim so I contacted them and asked them to please do so. A few weeks later, I checked the Website again and saw that reimbursement was made so I contacted the office and requested a refund (reimbursement), for the duplicate payment. When they did not respond to my numerous requests, I contacted the Better Business Bureau and that’s when “the fun” started. The office advised that they,” have nothing to do with the way bills, collects, or refunds monies to patients”. I appreciate them advising me of how they are structure but this should be transparent the end user (the patient) In any event, they were paid twice and instead of trying to rectify the situation, they further advised me that “you don't purchase a TV from Costco and expect to receive a rebate check from Sears”. As you can imagine, this experience was very frustrating and I do not to go back again

I only have eyes for you!, 10/19/2010

Thank you Dr. Rondowsky! Because of this man, my eyesight was saved. I had to have emergency surgery due to retinal tears & after numerous calls to other doctors around the area - he was the only one... who went back to his office & assisted me in getting the proper care that night. He truly represents a caring, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor. Thank you.

unfriendly customer service

I came in to browse for frames and when I talked with a male assistant in his 40s, I didn't get a polite impression from him. No smiles, and I felt like he didn't like helping me.
