Mae Bae is a rescue dog from the Mississippi gulf coast. She found her forever home here in Brandon MS. Thanksgiiving 2008. It was agreat day for both of us. Mae Bae needed a little training and I needed more ; there was only one place to go-- Mountain Pet Resort in Alto, GA . Paula, Anna the staff are dedicated and passionate about animal care. Mae Bae learned alot ,and I'm still learning. There is no better place for a loved, valued animal, when they can't be at home.

Our dogs are smart. Not only do they know when then are going somewhere, but they can usually tell where. When they see luggage, they know its time to get boarded. Before, they didn't want to get leashed up. But since we've been taking them to Mountain Pet Resort, they find the leash and bring it to us! Paula and her crew do a great job! We board our 2 German Shepherds, who can be too much for most boarders. Not here! They do a great job, and the dogs love it. On the drive up, they get excited as soon as we turn off the main road. It's a bit of a drive, since we live ITP Atlanta, but with such great rates and excellent service, it's well worth it. They do pick ups/drop offs! Every dog gets a huge run that's half in-door, with a doggie door that extends the run outside. They're so big that we have no problems keeping both full grown Shepherds in the same one. The outside part has a view of several farm animals that keep the pups entertained all day. Can't get that ITP! They get a ton of exercise, are always well fed, and get the best treatment. Our oldest dog is a picky eater with food allergies, but he's always given great care, even though he needs a special diet and sometimes needs given some medication during his stay. As for exercise, they always come back looking great and well tired out. We've had some bad experiences elsewhere, and this made us extra picky about where we board. They've been perfect for 2 years and we won't take our dogs anywhere else!

I personally know how uncomfortable it is to leave your pet behind which is why I want you to know about this kennel. When the kennel we used for the past 12 years closed, I went on the hunt for a new kennel. Most of the kennels I checked out I was not comfortable with until I found Mountain Pet Resort. I was hesitate to call because the location was so far north of where we live in Atlanta. However, I'm so glad I did. I've used a lot of boarding kennels and this one surpasses them all (including my former kennel). The pets are loved and secure, the kennels are large & clean, and your pet can be picked up and delivered to your home, which is very convenient. So, don't let the location concern you. Most of Paula's customers are in the metro Atlanta area and it has never been a problem for us. They are very accommodating. In addition, if you board in the metro area you will be very pleased with the fees. This kennel is much more reasonable than any of the kennels we have used closer to home. If you get a chance, go up to the kennel and visit. Paula and her staff are great. I always look forward to seeing them. Paula loves and cares for all of the pets as if they were her own. I am glad I have found another place for our pets where I do not have to worry while we are on vacation. I highly recommend this kennel.

We've had the toughest time getting our mutt trained, but Paula and Anna had all the answers! I couldn't believe how much he learned in the first week. We are very thankful for all your work. Also, my wife and I travel a good bit and it's nice to know that they are safe and happy while we are gone.

We live in the Lilburn area and there are plenty of places to board dogs around here, but none of them had what we were looking for: individual attention, a little leg room, and no "group exercise". Our boxer-pit is testy with other dogs, so that was also a potential problem with the boarders who like to do a test run first. I sent an inquiry late one night, and the next morning Paula called back and went over all the things they offer - 24 hour video monitoring, large indoor/outdoor runs, 4 individual exercises per day, and the best - they love boxer mixes! We drove our dog up to Alto, and it is a bit of a drive if you don't already live in the area, but it turned out to be totally worth it. Goldie came back NOT looking stressed and they had nothing but kind words about her. We opted for the drop-off service for the return trip because we were exhausted from being out of town all weekend. At first we thought we'd save the expense and go get her too, but when you factor in time and the cost of gas, the drop off service is actually a VERY economical option. So all in all, this was one of our best finds off of Kudzu so far. We will board Goldie at Mountain Pet Resort exclusively, because we know that she will get attention from people who like her and she will have plenty of room to move around.

Two Jack Russells and a busy travel schedule would be impossible if not for Paula and Anna. Our dogs love being at Mountain Pet and jump in their travel cages when it's time to visit. Best of all, they always come home in perfect health.

Paula and Anna are fabulous at Mt. Pet Resort. They offer incredible training where dogs can stay and board for 4 weeks and get personalized training. Their training is especially effective for puppies. My own dog was trained at Mt. Pet Resort when he was 8 months old. Paula's training even included a training video and 2 session training class for me so I could reinforce what my dog had learned. I highly recommend Mt. Pet Resort as not only a great place to board your dog but a simply fantastic dog training facility.

Paula,at Mountain Pet Resort, was the right person for us. We where having serious issues with our dog Toby. He had flunked out of obdience classesand we were not happy with the trainer that came to our home. We felt he was too rough with our beloved Toby. Then we found Mountain Pet Resort on Kudzu and gave it one more try. We could not believe the change in Toby after for weeks of training. Paula never used any type of choke or pinch collar, only postive reinforcement and love. This made us very happy, not to mention how much Toby loves and adores her.He is like a different dog.We would recomend Mountain Pet Resort for anyone that is in need of a trainer or to board their pet. Our animals will always go to Mountain Pet Resort in the future. We know they will get love in addition to the very best care.

We have had years of experience with MPR. They are a top flight operation. Pets are cared for with so much love and attention. We have had several honor graduates from the obedience school, even one springer who we thought was doomed to be a delinquent. Their obedience training program is amazing! You're on your own with your kids but Anna and Paula can make your dog behave. Our animals also love going there to board. Bottom line, it's a great place because they really care about the animals they are entrusted with. Highest recomendations!

Paula and Anna take the anxiety out of leaving your pets, for both the owner and the pet! I live in the county with the Resort, and they have trained and looked after my babies for 7+ years. All my dogs have the Pet Resort # on their tags as an emergency pickup option-Paula and Anna are extended family for me and my pets!

I cannot begin to explain how wonderful Paula & Anna are! They trained one of our dogs several years ago. I cannot tell you what a difference that made. Now, we often board our elderly dog. They offer special care for dogs with special needs. We appreciate the video monitoring of all the dogs in the kennel. I would recommend the Mountain Pet Resort to everyone...and I have! If you love your animal, you will not allow them to board or train ANYWHERE else. This is truly the best. God bless these wonderful folks.

Our dog Sunny was trained by Paula and Anna when he was just a puppy. He went to the 4 week "camp" and learned many basic commands and was completely crate trained/housebroken when he returned home. We continue to use Mountain Pet Resort for boarding when we are out of town. Our dog is so happy to see Paula and Anna when they pick him up (their pick up drop off service is GREAT!)and is exhaused from all the fun when he returns home. I recommend Mountain Pet Resort highly for anyone's training and boarding needs...Sunny just loves them!!!

Paula and Anna kept my best friend, Roxanne for an extended stay due to my having to travel unexpectedly for several months. Upon my return I found my dog with the girls looking just as happy and healthy as ever. I know things went exactly as Paula said because Roxy let me know by the way she fell in love with the girls at Mtn. Pet Resort. They became very close to me and Roxy and we became dependant on them for advice and counseling as well as boarding. When Roxy passed at 15 years old Paula cried just as long and as hard as I did. I would NEVER consider leaving my pet with anyone else. Jill Lester
