Mountain Pet Resort & K-9 Training

I personally know how uncomfortable it is to leave your pet behind which is why I want you to know about this kennel. When the kennel we used for the past 12 years closed, I went on the hunt for a new kennel. Most of the kennels I checked out I was not comfortable with until I found Mountain Pet Resort. I was hesitate to call because the location was so far north of where we live in Atlanta. However, I'm so glad I did. I've used a lot of boarding kennels and this one surpasses them all (including my former kennel). The pets are loved and secure, the kennels are large & clean, and your pet can be picked up and delivered to your home, which is very convenient. So, don't let the location concern you. Most of Paula's customers are in the metro Atlanta area and it has never been a problem for us. They are very accommodating. In addition, if you board in the metro area you will be very pleased with the fees. This kennel is much more reasonable than any of the kennels we have used closer to home. If you get a chance, go up to the kennel and visit. Paula and her staff are great. I always look forward to seeing them. Paula loves and cares for all of the pets as if they were her own. I am glad I have found another place for our pets where I do not have to worry while we are on vacation. I highly recommend this kennel.

We live in the Lilburn area and there are plenty of places to board dogs around here, but none of them had what we were looking for: individual attention, a little leg room, and no "group exercise". Our boxer-pit is testy with other dogs, so that was also a potential problem with the boarders who like to do a test run first. I sent an inquiry late one night, and the next morning Paula called back and went over all the things they offer - 24 hour video monitoring, large indoor/outdoor runs, 4 individual exercises per day, and the best - they love boxer mixes!

We drove our dog up to Alto, and it is a bit of a drive if you don't already live in the area, but it turned out to be totally worth it. Goldie came back NOT looking stressed and they had nothing but kind words about her. We opted for the drop-off service for the return trip because we were exhausted from being out of town all weekend. At first we thought we'd save the expense and go get her too, but when you factor in time and the cost of gas, the drop off service is actually a VERY economical option.

So all in all, this was one of our best finds off of Kudzu so far. We will board Goldie at Mountain Pet Resort exclusively, because we know that she will get attention from people who like her and she will have plenty of room to move around.

We have had years of experience with MPR. They are a top flight operation. Pets are cared for with so much love and attention. We have had several honor graduates from the obedience school, even one springer who we thought was doomed to be a delinquent. Their obedience training program is amazing! You're on your own with your kids but Anna and Paula can make your dog behave. Our animals also love going there to board. Bottom line, it's a great place because they really care about the animals they are entrusted with. Highest recomendations!

Mountain Pet Resort is great. We have two small dogs, one is very tempermental and the other is
quite skittish. We tried other kennels and one
came home stressed and the other sick every time we left them. Never have either one of them been stressed or sick after staying at the Mountain Pet Resort. Mountain Pet Resort is their "home away from home" and we highly recommend it.
