The electrician was very professional and saved me loads of money. One elecrician had already been out there and told me that I needed alot more things that I really didnt need. The company did a follow up call after the job was completed and to follow up on an estimate that the tech left.

Home Depot needs to sever this relationship. They quoted a price for a ceiling fan replacement, and the Mr Electric guy quoted us 2 1/2 times as much! This was after he arrived a half hour after the promised time window. We sent him packing with a $29.95 check in his pocket. Cheap enough for good riddance! Stay away.

I called these people to get a quote on a repair for an outdoor outlet that stopped working. The electrician came to my house and noticed that the rear outdoor outlet wasn't working either. He initially wanted to charge over $200 to repair them, but when my wife refused he called the office and gave her a "discounted" commercial rate of $174. Wisely, my wife still refused. I had forgotten all about it until tonight when I realized that the outlet in the garage wasn't working either. Unlike the two outdoor outlets, this one had a reset button. I reset the outlet and voila all three outlets started working again. Why didn't the electrician check this FIRST instead of wanting to charge nearly $200 when all that was needed was a press of a stupid button? If you ever had a reason to distrust an electrician, Mr. Electric is it. Avoid this dishonest, crooked company unless you like being ripped off!

We were set up by Home Depot with Mr. Electric for ceiling fan installation. The price given by Mr. Electric when they arrived (would not give over the phone) was more than twice what Home Depot had given us. We declined, but had to pay a "service call" fee of $29.95 PLUS a "processing" fee of $8.75. The technician also warned us that there might be "additional" charges if they had to install new electric boxes - these were replacement fans, not new.
