Horrible Liars
You can do better. Check out a smaller family-owned business (or the like) who actually have pride in their work and honesty. Advertise a $29.95 'service call' which is actually nothing more than a dispatch fee (the charge for showing up to your door, includes NO diagnostic work at all). Will charge you for repairs even if none are done, although there is an option for just a 'diagnostic fee' that they won't tell you about.
Taking the flat rate from these guys is cheating yourself. You'd be better off picking someone off craigslist.
