Business overview

Voted Best of Kudzu two years in a row! Mr. Roofer has over 21 years of hands-on roofing experience in Marietta GA and the Atlanta area. We believe that roofing is a craft & an art. All of our roof replacements, repairs, and remodeling are performed with the highest standards. From hand-nailing each shingle to step flashing every wall and chimney, our meticulous work will save you thousands of dollars throughout the life span of your roof. Many roofing companies are focused heavily on profit.. and throwing up roofs as fast as they can. Here at Mr. Roofer, our focus is integrity and craftsmanship. (We also provide superior installation of gutters, windows, and doors.)

We will NEVER compromise the quality of your roof by cutting corners or using poor quality materials. We do not pay our roofers for speed. We pay our roofers only after the job has been thoroughly inspected and marked perfect. Roofers will also ignore the GA Roofing Codes because they are not adequately enforced. Mr. Roofer takes these things seriously, and for your protection will lay every shingle according to code. As a certified contractor with GAF, they back our high-quality installation. Mr. Roofer is also certified with CertainTeed, and a preferred contractor with Owens Corning.

Mr. Roofer also guarantees payment to our suppliers of all roofing materials before we begin construction of your roof. Often roofers will buy supplies on credit. If the roofing materials are not paid for, a lien can be placed on your house due to default on the contractors account. With Mr. Roofer, your home is safe. When we install your roof, it is 100% yours. Two years after your new roof has been installed, contact Mr. Roofer for a free roof inspection, where we will do a second point-by-point inspection to verify that your new roof is still perfect.

For the next 13 years, your roof is under a FULL WARRANTY against leaks caused any Mr. Roofer's installation errors. Mr. Roofer will provide you with a detailed LABOR WARRANTY before your roof is installed. We have the most extensive labor warranty in the Atlanta area roofing industry. Most roofers only offer 2, 5, or 10 years.

Mr. Roofer has a passion for installing quality, well-constructed, strong, and beautiful roofs!

salesman was great. a big reason I went with mr roofer (and the positive reviews). install started ok. rain came in the afternoon and they were a bit late getting tarp on. result was a few water marks on the ceilings. I spoke the salesman that night and he said they'd be back the next day and he had some spray to use on the water marks. they finished the next day with more promises of the spray for the ceilings (salesman wasn't around much and didn't have the spray when he was). when we inspected the roof before paying, we found the installers mangled the siding on one of the peaks. it appeared that all the shingles up against (slightly under?) the siding were just ripped out taking chunks of siding with them. it looked like animals had gnawed up and down the side of the house. obviously it was VERY noticeable (street side of house) and nobody cared to bring it to our attention. once we said something, the manager got involved and came out to look. he agreed it was butchered and had the crew replace the siding the next day. fortunately I still had some paint lying around to match the house. salesman was there too. apologized and again promised to get the spray for the ceilings. it's been about a month now. roof seems good (haven't really checked but may today!). no spray though. why say you'll do something 5 times but not do it?

With the roofing repairs I

With the roofing repairs I am hesitate to give a great rating until several heavy rainfalls have occurred. I had made that mistake in the past with another roofing company and it took three months AFTER the work was complete before the roof began leaking again. I will say that I had a small job, the quote was competitive, they worked on the roof while I was at work (which was nice not having to take off), and when I arrived home the work site was clean. Regarding Albert, he did give me two quotes, A & B. Quote A was $150 more than one roofing company and $85 less than another roofing company; since they were in the middle I went with Mr. Roofer and kept my fingers crossed. Quote B from Mr. Roofer was substantially high and after having had three roofing companies bid on the job, I realized that quote B was an up-sell and ultimately went with quote A. No other roofing company found that the issues Albert pointed out in quote B were a contributing factor to my roof leaking. I am still on the fence on whether I would recommend Mr. Roofer without pointing out the quote B situation to friends and neighbors. And if I should have additional roofing issues in the future, I might call them, but not without having at a minimum two other roofing companies come out to see that the information received is credible.

Mr. Roofer fan for life

We originally hired Mr. Roofer to make repairs on our rental properties and we were so impressed with their work that we decided to use them to replace the roof on our residence. Mr. Thomason was always accessible if we had questions about the work or a product they used. When in the preliminary stages of choosing shingles, we weren't bombarded with unnecessary suggestions for repairs or products, we never felt pressured by them to buy services we didn't need. The crew were respectful, prompt, professional and courteous. We felt safe leaving them to work on our house while we went about our days at work or otherwise. We ended up going with the GAF timberline HD shingles and were extremely pleased with the end result. The shingles were hand nailed as promised, the work was done quickly and efficiently. We liked these guys so much that we have suggested them to family and friends. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing quality work done on their home or business.

After a heavy rain I

After a heavy rain I noticed the walls near the door to my crawl space were damp and there was some mold as well. I lined up 3 roofers to give me estimates and was afraid I was in for a huge expense. Mr. Roofer as the first to show up. Mr. Garcia thoroughly inspected my house on the inside including the attic crawlspace to see where the water had leaked through. He then inspected the roof and took a picture of the problem with his phone and showed it to me and explained what he proposed to do and what the cost was. It was so reasonable and he said it could do it right away so I went with him and cancelled the other estimates. I kept my fingers crossed until the next big rainfall and sure enough no more leaks. I couldn't be happier with the service and the price.

Roofing Materials

If you have never built a home or had to replace a roof before, you might not be aware of just how many different types of roofing materials are out there. Here are 4 of the most common materials used that you should know about when you have to select a roofing option somewhere down the line.

Asphalt shingles have long been a roofing favorite. They may not last as long as some of the other options, but asphalt shingles are comparatively inexpensive and are easy to install on just about any type of roof.

Roof Install

Your roof is certainly one of the most vital components of your home. There is a reason why people refer to shelter as a roof over your head. It prevents everything from rain to high heat from entering your home and affecting you directly. Of course, because roofs take such a beating, they may need repairs every now and then.

Unfortunately, a roof replacement might also be necessary. Over time, roofs can degrade and be incapable of holding back the rain and hail. Other times, small repair needs are neglected and the entire roof is a goner.

Many people wonder how long this process takes. This depends on a number of factors:

roof venting

Summertime in Atlanta can be hot and miserable, even when taking cover in front of the air conditioning. Just imagine how hot it is in your attic, where there is no air conditioning system blowing cool air around.

The same can be said for an attic that is extremely cold in the winter. A hot and stuffy or cold and frigid attic can lead to problems on the roof, requiring roofing repair, which is why it is so important to have proper roof ventilation.

The Problem with Moisture

If your roof is not properly ventilated, moisture will accumulate and cause damage to the roof sheathing and shingles above. Metal components will rust and weaken and may even break over time.

If there is moisture present for an... READ MORE »

Flashing is that hidden substance underneath your roofing material that is what really keeps your roof secure and leak-free. Once the flashing cracks or is damaged, your roof and home become compromised. It is your responsibility to know when your flashing has cracked and what to do when it happens.

How to Know

The most obvious sign that your flashing has cracked is when your roof springs a leak. You may notice water dripping through from underneath the roof or notice the water damage beneath the roof leaks. Go up into your attic on a fairly regular basis (especially during the rainy season) to keep an eye out for any type of leaks.... READ MORE »

Since roof replacement requires a major investment of both time and money, it is imperative that you examine the roofer’s contract to be certain you are getting exactly what you expect. Unforeseen circumstances can quickly derail your project, so you need to anticipate every possible situation and make sure your contract includes it.

At Mr. Roofer of Atlanta, we have a list of important details that we recommend you ensure are covered in your agreement.

Projected Times

Weather rarely cooperates with your construction needs, so no contractor should... READ MORE »
