Step 1 is to arrange a measurement of the house. I paid the $50 measuring fee on Monday and was told they would call me the next day to set up a time. It's now Friday and I haven't heard a peep. When I called the sales person, she just transferred me to someone's voice mail. This is a potential sale of several thousand dollars and they don't seem interested in getting my business. Imagine how they would treat you if they already had your money.

You will find a great selection of carpet and some good prices but you are on your own when shopping there. It starts at the front desk when you walk in. No greeting, no acknowledgement, no one asks if you need help. It is like trying to get help at the Post Office - absolutely no interest in helping the customers. The people at the DMV are friendlier. If you do manage to get someone's attention, first they will completely ignore you and when they realize that you are going to stand there until they acknowledge you, they are then condescending and dismissive. If you can deal with that, you can find some good carpet. They need more competition and whoever owns this place should send in some mystery shoppers.

I have recently used Myers Carpet in Atlanta, not only for area rugs, but also for a stairway runner and wall to wall carpeting in a Man Cave. The service is always attentive, prices are very competitive and sales people and installation people are professional. I highly recommend going to Myers whatever your flooring needs may be, you won't be disappointed.

The folks at Myers made an honest, completely understandable mistake by giving our installers the wrong carpet to put into our house while we were out of town (the bin had been mislabeled somehow). When my wife called to discuss it with David (sorry...not sure of last name, but I think he's an owner or manager), he owned up to the error with no hemming and hawing whatsoever and offered us a discount on the installed carpet or the option of pulling it up and installing what we had selected--at no additional cost to us. Now, we've only just made our decision to go with the carpet we originally ordered, and so there's still some work to be done, but I'm very impressed and pleased with the customer focus from Myers Carpet and David in particular. It's always nice to work with businesses who treat their customers with straight-up consideration when things go a little awry.
