I have gone to Dr. Charles Garten for several years now, (problems with shoulders, elbow, knees, wrist, hip, you name it),(he is now a part of Myers Sports Medicine), and I truly believe that he is the very best, sharpest, brightest, most personable orthopedic doctors that I have ever known, and I, sadly, have previously had to meet a lot of orthopedic doctors in Atlanta! Dr. Garten and his team, especially his associate Sorosh Golchin, are very kind, upbeat and very welcoming, not at all the experience that you expect. He and Sorosh will take a long time delving into your condition, explaining to you what is going on, answer all of your questions, and make you feel like you are their only patient. Dr. Garten is a non-surgical orthopedic/ sports medicine doctor, and he is very up on the latest diagnostic and treatment modalities to get you healed and back to your old self as quickly as possible. He practices medicine with knowledge and expertise that I have not seen in any other orthopedic or sports medicine doctors. I have told anyone in need of the best doctor to go to Dr. Garten- you will be so delighted that you found the best!

In Sept '07, I was hit by an impaired driver while training for my 7th marathon sustaining a severely injured left knee among many other injuries. After 2 consults with orthopedists from a major group in Atlanta, I was not confident in their understanding or dedication to my case. Finding Dr. Myers, I was impressed by his resume', and even more impressed on our initial consultso much so I knew 5 minutes into the consult he would be my surgeon. He actually listened to me instead of burying his head in a laptop.Surgery was complex but successful. Was able to PR hlf marathon and 5k races post ACL surgery. Fast forward to last yearbroken collarbone after a bike training ride crash. Dr Myers to the rescue!! The middle portion of the clavicle was crushed. Dr. Myers meticulously extracted bone fragments and fashioned a graft to get me symmetrically aligned. Most would have shortened me. He's a great surgeon and a great guy to boot! He is dedicated to the patient as is his staff thanks Reg, Mike,Allison and Jocylyn!!Great folks I highly recommend....

I came to Myers Sports Med after my second shoulder surgery failed. I had done some extensive research and was ready to travel to any extent to find the perfect doctor. This is when I came across his practice. Physically and mentally I was a mess (after 2 surgeries, what is wrong now??) The staff is so courteous and professional and Dr. Myers is amazing. They quickly put my mind at ease. Dr. Myers takes the time to answer all questions and makes sure you understand your options and out come. He knows exactly what you'll experience, what is going on and when you should start to reach certain points of your healing process. The man is amazing and I will recommend him and his staff to anyone! Thank you for fixing my shoulder!

Dr. Myers has treated me on several occasions and I have always found him to be very personable, compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a highly skillful orthopaedic/sports medicine physician!
