I have had a terrible experience here. Every time I leave, I come back an hour later because of something they did wrong. Just the other day, the lady who was changing my wire was not paying attention and was talking to another lady about kitchen appliances... I came back about an hour and a half later because she had neglected to put the back of the wire into the back bracket (it was just hanging there). They are extremely vague about the procedures that they do and I'm always in unnecessary pain. It's ridiculous. And forget about talking to them on the phone. Every time I have called, they never pick up and they have never gotten back to me either. I am just outraged at the fact that these people are unable to/refuse to do their jobs.

I was unavoidably late for an appointment by 15 minutes. Not only did the receptionist argue with me about how late I was (she was away from her desk - probably on a long break) she told me I couldn't be seen that day. Because I was 15 minutes late! I would have waited until they finished whoever had taken my time slot was finished, but I was not given that option. As I had taken off work to go to this appointment, it will be months now, before I can do that again. Thank you very much Nanston Dental. I won't be back.

My daughter goes there for braces, she got them in 2009, we paid in full in 2011, she still has them and everytime i try to get an appt, it is a month 1/2 away...i got frustrated and called as a new patient and they had one w/in 3 day! WTF, I do not recommend them...then they would not see her until her cavity was filled and they referred us to themselves next door...i got a better price with someone else and that dentist said her back teeth are not even lined up yet! It has been over 3 years now! WTF!!!! do not go to NANSTON!

I arrived at 8:15 for my 8:30 appt. My paperwork was already completed. I only had to sign the HIPPA paperwork which took 2 minutes. I sat down in the waiting room and watched approx. 15 other patients get called back before me after waiting 45 min. I go back to the front desk and ask the receptionist how long it would be. She then told me I was in the wrong waiting room.......I had no idea it mattered what side you sat on. Being a new patient I should have been informed of that. When I asked had I missed my slot..she told me "not that I know of" and continued working. The cleaning was great. Service was horrible. Probably won't go back unless it's for a cleaning. I was there for a total of 1hr and 45 min.

BEWARE OF THIS DENTAL OFFICE!!! They will do the work before the insurance says they will cover it, tell you it's approved. Then "send" you a bill for the denied portion. I have told everyone I know about this and have heard some terrible things about this office! Be VERY cautious with this place. Make sure everything is pre-approved and in writing.

This is one of those businesses that you get a bad feeling about just walking through the door. They are fanatics about constant x-rays whether it is the appropriate time or not. They are very vague about the procedures that they want to do on your children and act like you are the scum of the earth if you dare ask a question about the above mentioned procedure. They also refuse to let parents go back with the child no matter what the reason. I believe they are trained to make you feel like a terrible human being if you question anything they are doing. This place should be avoided at all costs. Speaking of costs they tried to charge $700.00 to fix a retainer when all other places charge maximum $170.00!

Ouch! I'm sorry to hear about what you experienced at our office. I would like to talk to you about your concerns. Please call me at your earliest convenience at 678-836-2255. I look forward to speaking with you. Thank you, Kate Young
I was told my daughter had 5 cavities & needed two crowns (she was 6 at the time). They told us that our portion would cost $1500.00. She had one cavity when she was four that Nanston had done. I changed dentists and the only thing they found wrong with her mouth was that the cavity that was done when she was four had to be redone b/c it was almost completely gone. Thank goodness we had a gut feeling that this was not accurate information!

Dear nan781, I'm sorry to hear your daughter required extensive treatment at such a young age. Unfortunately, you feel that the treatment we recommended for you was not necessary. You are certainly entitled (and encouraged) to get other professional opinions. If you have dental concerns in the future, we hope you will consider having us serve your family.
I recently went to nanston and ha the best experience. My hygentist Shannon Chappell was absolutely amazing. She treated me as i ws one of her kids. Shannon was very informative and kind. So, if you want the best then you need to go see Shannon at Nanston in Snellville.

Thanks so much for your feedback and kind review! Shannon is a very talented dental hygienist and a pleasure to have on our team.
I have found this practice to be very hit or miss. Sometimes my children see a great hygienist, and sometimes they don't. More often than not, I'm looked at as a problem when I ask questions - and my kids feel apprehensive rather than reassured by the employees. The dental work is fine, and the value is fine, but the quality of customer service is highly lacking.

Dear LoneButterfly, I appreciate you letting us know about your experiences at our office. I hope you have had more "hits" recently, and less "misses" in your time with us. I would like to talk to you further about your experiences with us. If you have an opportunity, please call me at (678) 836-2255. Thank you, Kate Young
The quality is decent, the service is okay, but you're just another number. You'll get a thorough exam and follow-up care, but only because they want the money. Be careful to check that the services they're performing are covered by your insurance BEFORE they perform them.

Hi Feasance, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your visit. We verify every patient's insurance coverage prior to each visit to our office. If you would like to speak with your doctor regarding your oral health, please feel free to call us at (770) 242-3260 to schedule a consultation, or talk to the dentist at your next dental cleaning about your concerns. We are here to serve you.
I have recently visited the new Nanston Vision office and enjoyed the personal attention the doctor gave me. As one who formerly visited "Mall eye care centers" having a doctor who truly cared about my eyes was a major plus. The staff was also very sweet in helping during the initial exam and with ordering contacts and glasses. I even brought back my daughter for an exam and discovered that she needed glasses too.

Hi Eamilli, Thanks for your feedback on Nanston Vision in Snellville! We are so excited to offer these vision care services to our patients in the same building of our dental office. I will share your compliments with Dr. Reagin and the rest of our team. Please let us know how we can help you in the future.
My family and I have been going to this Nanston location for a few years now and my family and I have been very happy. Yes there may be a wait at times but living in Atlanta I find that every where and they have been very apologetic. You can find fault in everyone and everything so thus far they have been great to me and my family.

Dear Happy3, What a great screen name! :o) We hope you are still a happy patient. Please let us know if we can help you with anything in the future.
I have had a basic cleaning, 2 fillings, root canal and a permanent crown replaced that they did.....the service is awful and the Dentist was unfriendly. I had to return several times to get fillings re-done which I have NEVER had to do at prior dentist. My permanent crown came off and I had to have it put back on and the bite was off and the Dentist this time was pleasant to deal with but seemed to be in too big of a hurry to double check the bite! I had to go back. I will never use them again...I don't have time to go back three & four times to get things done correctly!

Hi Jewels6877, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We hope you are well. We realize many of our patients would be inconvenienced with multiple visits to our office. It is important to remember that fillings are not permanent. They do fall out, and it could be cause by a number of factors. I am happy to hear you took care of your permanent crown right away. It is important to keep the existing tooth free from bacteria, which can be done by notifying us when the crown comes loose.
Came here a few years ago. Dr. Pimintel refused to let me see endodontist. Completely messed up and gave me a huge infection. Had to see the owner at 10 PM on a Sunday night for emergency care. Then could only get back in to see Dr. Pimintel./ Had been told by owner that I could see the endo for completion of treatment, or see the owner himself. Admin had no info. Finally just went elsewhere and had the damage taken care of for an enormous amount of money. Never had a fear of dentists until now.

I had several thousand dollars of work done on my teeth with Nanston since 2003. I stopped going to Nanston because the dentists I had did not provide quality work, Nanston prematurely terminated dentist contracts (I am sure because they did substandard work) and therefore I kept seeing different dentists, their administrative staff was incompetent, their billing staff did not know what they were doing and they over charged me. Since I have left Nanston, I have had several teeth that had been crowned by Nanston that had to have root canals, crown lengthening and re-crowned. I went back to Nanston to give them a second chance. I saw a dentist that had been with the group for a long time. He said that I now had a tooth that was crowned in late 2003 by them that needs to be extracted and a bridge put in. The dentist said that they would not charge me for that tooth again. The billing person and the manager of the office also told me that the dentist said that they would not bill me for this tooth. After already getting novicane, the manager said that they would have to send my records to a director to review the chart so that they could be paid for the crown by corporate or else the office would need to pay for it. I was taken from the dental chair without any work done. Now the director has not approved it and they say I will need to pay for it. Beware! Know the dentist you are going to see before you go to them!
