I called these guys to look at a door that was hanging up on the rail. I had to disengage the drive to manually lower the door (so it would close). When the tech got there, I was told that the whole unit had to be replaced. I was skeptical but it was a really old unit and was probably going to eventually die anyway. I was told a replacement unit would be $375. I opted not to take the bait and called the office to confirm the price. It was correct, but the tech had quoted me a more powerful opener than was necessary. Even with the "free service call with repair" coupon, they still charge a minimum of $95 for any repair, so I had him do a token repair on my other garage door just to get my money's worth. Then he tries to tell me that the door wouldn't close because of a pre-existing problem. Since the problem wasn't present before he arrived, I let him know and he tried to argue with me. I was pretty angry at this point, but he reluctantly fixed the problem. I don't deal with attitudes like this, so when I did replace BOTH openers (yesterday) I went with another company that treated me with respect. Not recommended.

I could not open my garage door and my car was stuck inside. I had to pick up someone from the airport that evening and it was Sunday. I had some coupons and called around and Gwinnett Cobb Overhead Door was the only company that answered the phone. I was so relieved that I was able to get in touch with someone to fix my door. They sent a technician within an hour. The technician got the job done quickly and did not charge me extra for coming on a Sunday. This company really made my day and I am so happy with their service. I would definitely recommend this company if you need work on your garage door.

Time slot was between 2 and 4. This technician came out to my house to replace my garage door opener at 4:15pm. The door opener had broken without warning and I had called them in a hurry. My garage was full of wood because we were building our son's treehouse and we were storing it in the garage. He told me he couldn't work because of all the wood. I understood that and asked him when he could. He said that because he was late for another appointment that was near his own house, he would be unable to fix mine until I moved everything out. I said, fine. He told me he'd be there the next morning at 8. At 8:15 he called me to tell me he would be there in 30 minutes and to ask me if my garage is "clean". Then his office calls me to ask me if my garage is clean. By this point, I'm getting angry. I call for the manager, she yells at me that there's nothing wrong with this behavior. Then I ask to speak to the owner. He calls me back and yells at me too. This is a HORRIBLE company. They will judge you for your house, and they do not care. I have phone records and proof that a technician came out to my house. They continue to lie about their horrible service. The BBB wouldn't take my complaint only because I refused to give these guys money after such a horrible experience. There are a lot of 5 star reviews with 1 review people. I ask you to look at all my other reviews to figure out if I'm just trolling or actually a real person.

My hubby & I just bought our 1st home, it's a bit of a fixer-upper & needed a new garage door. We had to do everything manually & I was afraid to park my car in there, thinking it was going to break. A friend from work recommended Gwinett Cobb Overhead Door & they came out right away & helped us pick out the perfect door for us. I love it , so much easier & really adds so much curb appeaL & the price was in our budget. I will definately recommend to our friends & family. Thanks for making this purchase a pleasant experience :)

After calling around to several places I made a decision to go with Gwinnett Cobb Overhead Door mainly because they took the time to explain the service and seemed very knowledgeable. They showed up on time and fixed my problem. They even cleaned the windows in my door. Wow, what a great group! They will always have my business.

The tech (Brad) was very knowledgable and quick diagnosed the problem and repaired the issues. I had a different company come out before and price the job and they want to do $700 dollas of unneccasry work. Gwinnett Cobb Overhead door co will be the only company i use or recommend in the future
