Scott Nelson did a wonderful job working with us to plan the project. My advice would be to ensure, from the beginning, that the assigned Project Manager is aware of all agreements made with Sales to avoid issues and misunderstandings during implementation.

We contracted Nelson Exteriors to do multiple jobs around our home, and we started seeing problems before they were even finished. The first problem was a 4k door which was not what we had discussed in person. The assured us that it was (even though I tried to reject the door) and tried to smooth it over by saying "they do not make mistakes like this because their quality of work is how the depend on business". As a side note, the owner was very condescending to me as a woman trying to express problems. The problems continued when I found work on the back door was poorly done - a main structural piece was left out that would have caused a host of problems down the road. At this point they had a higher person come in and confirm that the quality was unacceptable. We got a profuse apology and I was able to show the new person other small items that were done in haste and poorly. It's now a year later and I am still finding issues. What I thought was "sticky" items in the glass of our doors, was in fact, some cutting into the glass. Not the decorative sort, but someone obviously trying to remove the protective film or something and using a blade on the glass. Blinds not connected correctly (and in one case falling on my head). Window sills that were supposed to be repaired, in poor shape. On and on. Had there been 1 or 2 problems and everything else great, then I would have been fine never leaving a review, but the fact I regularly am reminded prompted me otherwise.

We were sorry to read of your issues as they were news to us. Nelson Exteriors is committed to our customers and would welcome the opportunity to correct any problems that you may have related to the work that we did in your home. As you noted, we did come out and took care of the issues we were aware of. All of this was before receiving any payment for the work.
To our knowledge, the blinds that were reinstalled were meant for the door that was previously there. We reinstalled them as you requested, but they are not the proper fit for the new door.

Workers appeared to be experts in their craft and did not seem to mind my watchful eye. The carpenters and painters worked with excellence. I would recommend that when you get your quote though, that you pre-negotiate any possible "what if" scenarios and get them in writing. You can negotiate a better price than you get it you wait to discover you have missing sheathing or rotten wood that needs replacing. I personally failed to confirm the storm door as a part of the package since I was changing colors. I found out near the end of the job that it was not included as a part of painting the "whole house". Nonetheless, the quoted job was performed with high quality workmanship, As well, we reached an amiable agreement on the few extras discovered. If and when I found any small thing after completion, I called the foreman Lazaro and it was handled with a smile 'to my satisfaction". I would use them again and would recommend to a friend.'.

I interviewed several contractors for the job. It was a very big job and cost was a factor and I also wanted good quality work. From the very start Chris spent several hours with me before he even tried to make a sale. The others contracting companies just wanted to make a sale. He cared about making my home more energy efficient and taking care of my needs. I am super happy with them.

Very pleased with the entire experience. Very thorough and cleanup was great. Especially happy with Jesse and her paint crew! Prices were broken out and detailed, and any questions I had were answered promptly. Would highly recommend this group.

Nelson Exteriors installed new James Hardie board siding, painted the entire house, and installed new downspouts. They did an excellent job, and I would highly recommend they to a friend.

The price is fair, review your estimate very carefully to make sure that all of the work that you want is included on it. We made the mistake of asking the salesman for work, and didn't review our estimate carefully enough. He didn't include in the estimate the removal, and replacement of rotten brick molding and fashia boards. My husband ended up working along side the crew. The project manager was fantastic, and the construction crew was amazing. We hope you get a better painting crew than we had. We hope you are happy end result, as we are.
