I've been bringing my cats to Cedar River for 18 years and the most cats I've had at one time was 5. They are always so caring and accommodating. I've recommended them to several friends, neighbors and family and will continue to do so. I feel that the doctors there have a lot of knowledge and experience and they are very compassionate. I recently had to put down one of my cats and they made a very difficult situation comforting and I have no regrets with the way everything was handled.

I've been taking my shihtzu to Cedar River since we brought him home 4 years ago. I have always been pleased with the staff - the receptionists, nurses and doctors. They always call a few days after any appointment just to see if everything is ok, and it is not too difficult to get an appointment immediately. Most memorable is the time I was referred to an eye specialist on a Saturday, and granted we had to drive to Portland due to an emergency situation, the doctor at Cedar River made the experience as simple as possible (they contacted the specialists, asked them to remain open to wait for us, printed directions and called us later that night to see how my boy was). I cringe, however, everytime it's time to pay, but I would pay any amount for my little boy (and I always believe you get what you pay for)!

Our family has taken our animals to Cedar River Animal Hospital for two generations. My parents took our dogs there growing up and I currently take my two dogs and cat. Both vets are very kind and compassionate. I have had to put down two dogs throughout the years and they made the experience as good as possible. They do not put pressure on you to get every test like some vets and they respect your decisions as a pet owner. The techs are great too, very upbeat and positive. I have reccommended this vet to several of my neighbors who all have been happy. It seems a bit pricy but aren't they all??? I would not hesitate taking your dog or cat here!

This boarding facility I have used for my Rhodesian Ridgeback several times. I kept noticing her bed we brought reaked of urine and was always smeared with feces. And my dog smelled like she was sleeping in her own mess EVERYTIME I picked her up. My husband and I would call everyday to make sure she was eating and given her toys, they constantly lied to us, we would find out when picking her up that the toys we left for her were never used (dingo's). Every day we would call, ""yes she got her dingo today"" and not one was used when we got our bag back. I have a sinking feeling my dog was abused at this place too, she has a few injuries like chipped teeth and bruises I noticed after boarding her. The Vet of this place tells us that they dont have the time to give my dog personal attention (hence the feces/urine smell) and maybe I needed to go to Petco in the future. What a dumb moron, Petco doesnt even take dogs outside to urinate. Bottom line: They can't even keep the dogs clean. Disgusting. They also will lie and tell you whatever you want to hear. You can not trust them.
