Earlier in the summer, I got blood work done that showed my blood calcium and PTH levels were high. My life was turned into a living nightmare as, I was swamped with new and unknown symptoms, after trying to get into many specialists this is the first that wasn't booked full. (I now know why.) My appointment was at 10:30 and I was not taken to a room until 11 then, it took the doctor another 20 minutes get to my room because, "he was stuck with another patient." The doctor walks into my room and I beg him for help, as this was the only lead I had and I was leaving to go to college out of state in 2 days. He told me that normal ranges for blood calcium levels were 8.2-10.2 and he will only check if it was over that (aka 0.1 more) He then asked about symptoms and said they didn't match up, and then in a "know it all" way named the ones I would have if something was wrong. What he listed off were all symptoms I had made sure to mark up on the provided list, he didn't even bother to read all my information! After further, pushing he agreed to a blood test that he said he will "send up to my university" and left. All this happening in around 5 minutes flat. The doctor acted as if he didn't care because he wouldn't be able to get money for the treatment, all I needed at the time were answers. He treated me absolutely terribly and made me feel crazy saying "maybe you should go to a psychiatrist for your symptoms instead."

I left this practice 3 years ago after seeing Dr. Goswami. I broke off the relationship because he refused to prescribe a natural thyroid medication. I called to change providers to Dr. Shore at 8:00 yesterday morning and finally received a call back at 3:30 today stating that I could not see anyone in their practice due to non-compliance. I do not appreciate the dishonesty in my record. Glad I had already made an appointment with a different practice. I have to add that their wait times are ridiculous. An 8:00 appointment should not mean that I be seen by a doctor after 9:00.

My experience with this practice is completely disappointing and disheartening! I am unemployed and a nurse (not the doctor) recommended that take part in a Patient Assistance Program with Novo Nordisk. I applied and was approved. I received one shipment of a four month supply of medication. I called the office for another prescription and the head nurse said they will not write a prescription unless I come in for a visit. I made the comment that it appeared they were more concerned with me coming in for a visit, inquiring more debt (because of being uninsured and unemployed) than me dying due to diabetic complications due to the lack of proper medication - and she said did not respond!

NAED has become simply too large to effectively handle their patient load. Unless you have a really serious medical condition you would be better advised to see a primary care physician. The doctors are good, the staff...not so much. It is nearly impossible to get a timely reply to a medical question and even worse for Rx refills.

Dr. Goswami is my doctor and his manner is arch professional. He listens to you and answer all your questions. The phlebotomists are also good in that they have no problem drawing blood from me which was a big problem in NYC before moving here. No pain at all. The wait is never long and it is quiet. No TV or loud music. Everyone is pleasant and respectful.

My doctor is Dr Mahakala and she is fantastic.. She takes the time to answer all of your questions and makes you feel very comfortable.. If you ever need a diabete's doctor she is the one to see..

So my wife has been going here for two years now. The doctors, overall, are pretty good. But the back office does need significant improvement on communication, etc. But what are you really expecting? Healthcare today is all about the numbers and doctors are feeling the pinch too. If you think it's bad now, just wait until we get government healthcare - it'll get much worse.

Don't waste your time here- go anywhere else. Waited over an hour, never saw a doctor, asked for the office manager- she came out and was so rude. Told us that a typical wait time is well over an hour and that everyone waits. What is the point in an appt time?? They are very low class there and the doctors don't want to see you- they have PA's who see you instead. They only want your money- do not waste your time here. Go to a real doctor.

You never speak to a person when calling. They say on the voicemail that they may not be able to return your phone call until 24-48 hours.Do not expect it in 24 hours it has always been 48 hours. I have been dealing with them for 3 years. Even if you are out of your metformin. When you have an appt expect to wait 30 minutes minimum no matter how early you arrive. Then wait some more in the exam room. You will feel like your nothing more than cattle being herded through. I decided my primary care physician was better that that office.

Dr. Goswami treated me and is great. However, 4 out of 5 times when I call, I get sent to voice mail and never get called back. Even when their office messes up a test and they request for you to call them to straighten things out, they still won't return your calls. Once you're there, the staff ranges from friendly to brusque, but you're out of luck if you ever have to phone them. Technically, these folks are really quite good. Logistically, I've never seen another physician's office so broken.

I felt compelled to write this review when I saw how many negative comments had been left. When you see all negative - take care to remember that people rarely post positive experiences. I have come to this office for almost 2 years and have always been pleased. The staff is knowledgeable and hard working. The doctors are all very experienced, clinically up to date, and have always given me sound advice.

Today was supposed to go back for recheck. Just could not talk myself into it-This place is exactly what these reviews claim. Cold,impersonal,too big for anybody's good-patient or provider. I picked because they are in network. I suspect this is the major reason most people were there. I feel very sorry for them-some were very sick. I, on the other hand, can and will shop around some more.

Rude staff, cattle call. All about billing charges. NO security of the office. The hottie drug reps love this place- they often get in much faster than the patients. They do not answer the phones, make you leave repeated messages. AWFUL!!!

The staff is very disorganized and you have to play phone tag with them to make an appointment! Once you are able to get in (and better make an appointment 6 months ahead of time) You wait forever, and Dr. Arkin had one hand on the doorknob when he finally does see you. This is a GREEDY practice, the manager schedules TOO many patients which does not allow for quality care. Seems they are most interested in numbers and bottom line the almighty DOLLAR!!!!

I see doctor Shore for my type 2. He is good, but the staff I called to get a refill never would return the call or call in the refill. Once I was out I called the urgent line, and the staff was rude and condescending when I tried to explain the urgency to get the prescription filled and maintain control. It wasn't until I returned the rudeness and attitude that it was handled. This is not a good office, even if the doctor is good, their people skills are horrible.
