My elderly mom was out of heat and AHS sent in these clowns. Her compressor was gone and the emergency back up heat was not working. They concluded that since the backup heat wasn't working it was 'a bad installation' and therefore the warranty was invalid. The unit has been working for 26 years. "The heating strips were not attached. Perhaps the homeowner wanted to save money and had detached them." Give me a break. My mom can't work her VCR. Turned out the thermostat was bad and there was no power getting to the strips. Great diagnosis guys! Called the owner Bill to ask how a 26 year old unit was suddenly installed improperly. He was rude and talked in circles. Might as well discuss heating and air with my cat. If AHS tells you they are sending them out, run! Ask right away for a different vendor.
