After hearing wonderful things about the labor and delivery units / staff at Northside Forsyth hospital, my husband and I thought the OBGYN in the hospital complex would be a good place to receive our prenatal care. We could not have been more wrong! On our very first appointment we arrived at the practice and the front office staff immediately began to snap at us saying that they had attempted to call us for 3 days to reschedule. It turns out, the office had the wrong telephone number in my file, but despite the fact that it was the office's clerical error that caused the problem we were treated poorly and with obvious contempt for the rest of the visit. On our second visit we discussed with the Doctor a chromosome panel we wanted to have done. We had blood drawn and were told to expect a call in 7 - 10 business days. I received a voicemail saying that the results of the test had come in on a Friday - 15 minutes before the office closed. Since I was unable to return the call before they closed that day, I called the practice's main line at 8:30 AM (opening) Monday morning. We were told that a nurse would return our call. After 5 hours (and 2 more attempts to get someone to answer my call) I have still not received my lab results! The inability to receive my own test results and rudeness of the staff are only two of many problems we have encountered at this practice. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your prenatal care!

I was a patient for all of two hours and was turned away after traveling miles to make this appointment only to be told I wouldnt be seen due to the dr needing to make a delivery... Understandable. I was upset and the office manager Donna tried to compensate me for the mishap. she claimed to put me on with a Dr Lambert who was NOT TO BE ON CALL the day of my appointment. I get there and sit and wait for 45 minutes for the nurse to come in again and tell me that I AGAIN would NOT be seen due to a delivery.... Now if I was supposed to be with a Dr that was not on call... why was I not seen??? I will never recommend this office to any of my friends or family. their receptionist constantly had an attitude not only in person but over the phone as well. As i was making my appointment the very first time the woman asked me how far along I was and I proceeded to tell her I believe I am 14 weeks.. She replied "YOURE 14 WEEKS AND HAVENT SEEN A PROVIDER???" so rude and so incompassionate to the face that one I didnt know I was pregnant for a while and two I had an issue getting pregnancy covered on my insurance. I do not appreciate the attitudes or the mishaps, again I WILL NEVER GO BACK NOR WILL I ALLOW MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY TO GO THERE.

I read the other reviews and almost did not choose this place, when I went to check it out for myself I was thrilled to find a well organized and polite staff who answered all of my questions. I will definatley be delivering my first child with this staff. I would highly recommend them!! Very clean and exceeded my expectations!

Dealt with doctor not listening. Felt like she forgot who I was at each visit or just didn't care. Had to constantly remind her of my pre-exisiting health conditions which she never requested medical records for. Ran the wrong blood work when doing defects screening (did the one that I said I didn't want because came up negative in the past but didnt do the one I wanted which was downsyndrome, etc. Went in for a one hour glucose test followed instructions on sheet and have done them with previous pregnancies as well. Made me wait two hours before drawing blood. Tried to show receptionist the sheet given to me with time blood should be drawn. She was very rude ignored what I showed her then made me wait another hour. Appointments are always messed up and the last time I brought the appointment sheet that they printed at last time of visit and there is always an excuse followed by rude comments by staff. When addressed with doctor, she coverd for them saying cant have ultra sound for another few weeks because not far enough along which was a lie again because I had the same thing done with my other pregnancies at a way earlier time in the pregnancy. I also had issues when calling back a missed call about lab results. I called back 3 days straight to get lab results and each time the receptionist said to call back later and hung up. I switched to a different practice and wish I had done so sooner! I have never seen such a dysfunctional medical practice as North Pointe!

Dr Lambert is absolutely incredible. We had some difficulties with the pregnancy and he guided us the entire way to the birth of our beautiful daughter. He was supportive, informative and also reassuring. He and the entire staff are wonderful. We would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

First off the minute you walk in you have an unwelcome feeling. The staff has a rude, attitude and seemed judgemental or something going on with them ... very up tight. I have never seen or met a doctor yet and I am 7 1/2 months now! I was in a car accident and they could careless about having a sonagram to check on my baby. I need blood work and the nurse could not even take my blood. She poked me like 3 times then finally i told her to stop. Her exuse was I didnt drink enough water...? I told her to use a butterfly needle to begin with, but she insisted she could do it with a regular. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN TO LISTEN! to their patients! and concerns! so unpleased! I am switching docters as we speak.o yes and after my accident i was having sever back pain and emitted to ER. The nurse in the hospital acted like i just wanted to get high or something when all i wanted was releif for my back. She sent me home made me WALK ALL THE to the OTHER side of the hospital! THESE PPL!!

Dr. Lambert delivered both of my children and I have always have had great experiences with the whole practice. The nurses are friendly and I have never had to wait very long. Dr. Lambert always gives my so much time during my visits to talk and ask any questions I may have. The new online/tablet systems make the check-in and prescription process easy and quick. Nothing but great things to say about the practice and especially Dr. Lambert.

I have been a patient for 3 years and I am going to have to find another OB. I used North Pointe for my yearly paps and became pregnant with identical twins. Dr. Lambert was my doctor and was very nice. I was admitted to the hospital a month before I delivered which is where the trouble started. Dr. Lambert came to see me once in awhile, not too often, which was okay but I did have a lot of questions. I wish he would have been more accessable. His partners came to visit me a couple of times also and Dr. Barrett was always very pessimistic so I dreaded his visits. Ultimately, Dr. Lambert decided to take a beach vacation when I was scheduled for my C Section. I wanted him to be there but understood. I left this experience with so-so feelings about them. Then recently, I started having periods of anxiety and postpardum like symptoms, so I called them. They perscribed Paxil, which I took only after leaving 3 voicemails for the nurses who said they called it in and never did. I had an adverse reaction and when I called and told them this after not being able to get out of bed, they said there is really nothing they can do and call my general practice doctor. Nice. So they can presribe the meds, but have no accountibility to help me when I have a bad reaction. I will be finding a new OB. Don't bother with North Pointe. The other reviewers are right, they are becoming too big for their own good.

I have until recently only used them for yearly exams which was fine. I am needing further medical care for an issue and have been very disappointed in the service. Dr Barrett is fine when you are there for an appt, however, it is impossible to speak to anyone who knows what is going on when calling for information/advice or to obtain test results. No one returns calls when you leave messages with midwives and/or doctors. When the nurses return calls they are icompetent and can't answer questions. The front desk staff is also incompetent. I would not recommend this practice if you would like professional care.

I used this practice for my 2nd pregnancy. I would not go back! The midwives were glorified nurses and not as natural as I would have liked. Most of the Dr's were rude and wouldn't take time to listen to my concerns. When I mentioned I wanted a drug free labor with little to no interventions the Dr's response was "Well we'll see, you're in MY house now." (referring to the hosp.) With my 3rd pregnancy I used a different practice and went on to have a drug free water birth at home. The difference was night & day. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE.

Being a nurse myself, I saw no problem to having our 2nd baby delivered via midwife. Although I had mostly seen Dr. Barrett, I had also met all three midwives and Susan was on call with Barrett the morning I went into labor. There was a major complication with the delivery that could have led to my death, no exaggeration. Thank God for the L&D nurses at Northside Forsyth! They controlled the hemorrhage situation until Susan could be called back to further control things. The problem is: she didn't complete the job, so 4 weeks later I was back in surgery with a physician cleaning up her mistake. The biggest problem was: I called the office twice, spoke to two midwives, explained my concerns, and was quickly brushed off. It was only when I spoke with the physician at 4am, as I was contemplating a visit to the ER, that I was advised to ultrasound ASAP. There the problem was discovered and hopefully rectified long term. The moral of the story: although there is a conception that women listen to women, in certain cases just the opposite occurs. Whether it is because we believe we understand each other's overly emotional reactions, we hate our own profession (i.e., "she's a nurse, she thinks she knows everything"), I don't know. Whether a male physician is merely concerned about a lawsuit, I don't know. The physician's name is on the paperwork, even when the midwife delivers, at least at this practice. In any case, I will never see another midwife in this practice.

I moved here from CA last year and therefore was very nervous to go to a new OBGYN when we decided to start trying for our third child. I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE PLEASED! Dr. Barrett is WONDERFUL! I have had my baby and now I am actually sad not to go to this office anymore (except for my yearly) This entire office is sooo nice! The office staff is so warm and sweet and really made me feel important. I have never had a Doctor give me such great care and Dr. Barrett truly cares about his patients. He really listens and spends time with his patients and never made me feel rushed. I feel like I made a friend actually. I couldn't recommend him more highly. I actually wish he could be my primary care doctor. Oh and I had a c-section and he did a fantastic job. This was my 3rd c-section and by far it was the best one. He made me feel relaxed and I was definitely in great hands!

My college-age daughters loved their first obgyn-experiences. They came in apprehensive but have had great care repeatedly with the Dr.s,Linda and Susan. They thought the office was beautiful and the check in & out staff very friendly. I'm planning on switching to them myself!
