North Springs UMC Preschool

My son has been going here since he was 2, and he's now 4 1/2. I have been continuously surprised at how loving & caring his teachers have been. He has grown so much socially and academically here.
When he started, he cried (as all children do at the beginning,) but I saw his teachers pick him up and comfort him until he was quiet, and it only took two days for him to start ASKING to go to school and play with his new friends.
His current teachers, Ms. Alli & Ms. Adrienne, have been saints with him as he's proceeded through the regular testing of boundaries that 4 yr. olds go through. Somehow they manage to discipline him with love and still teach him his letters.
I've also seen the director (Michelle Gray) deal with some unfortunate circumstances very well and professionally. There have been a few teachers that did not work out, and in every case, I've seen Michelle put the needs of the children first and let those teachers go. The remaining teachers are universally patient, loving & attentive to all the ages of the kids. I've subbed with many of them and have been very impressed with the skillful way they encourage and teach the children.
This is so much more than just a day-care center. The kids are truly learning new things daily, including science, math, art, music and even foreign languages (German this year) and gymnastics.
I am extremely satisfied and pleased with this school and highly recommend it to anyone with pre-school kids

My son was 14 months when I put him for moms morning out program. As expected every child cries when they r separated from mom for first time, but it was not recieved well by Miss Trisha in the immediate second day. I still sent him there since I felt the other teacher was very good and affectionate with children. It dint stay for long, they re-structured in the middle of the year and Miss Jan came in to the class who is equally snobish. There was school program oneday in church hall,When I reached, saw my baby crying. I asked miss Jan if I could take him, her response was like "Thank Go..Take him away".On the day I went to work as sub-teacher, all that Trisha was doing was chit chating and taking head massages and hair tied from co-wokers during kids play time where they r suppose to watch kids and play with them. I have seen Miss Trisha and Miss Jan chit chatting and not watching kids on so many occasions. Even the little sheet which they give telling about your childs day is bogus. There was a child on the I worked as sub, who cried thro out, but it was written he was happy. they gave crackers and wrote goldfish.
I discontinued my son for May2008 but by then i had already paid registration fee for 2009 and was hoping this year there is going to be change in his teacher. I walked in for openhouse and was very sad to see Trisha back with new teacher. Director Michelle Gary dint even bother to ask me "why?" when I called her and said I am dropping him out. They r too cold.
