Two reasons for my review. One is Dr. Roth is rude and hurts me every time when i go in for my exam. The other is I missed my appointment today for the first time after being a patient for over 2... years and they charged me 30 dollars .. Will NOT be going back ..VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I have been to his office several times for my daughter to see Dr. Roth, he is very good and until this last follow up I had always been very happy with the service. Today I took half a day off of... work for a follow up with Dr. Karlin (my normal doctor is Dr. Roth) and arrived early as instructed when scheduling. This was at 4:00 and my appointment was for 4:30 pm. I was called back quickly around 4:15 pm. This is where I sat until 5:12 pm, until i got up and walked out. I explained to the woman at the desk that I was unable to wait any longer as I had to pick up my daughter. She quickly interrupted me and made zero effort to apologize for the wait nor to reschedule. It was apparent she was only there to collect a check and her primary interest was to get in and get out, it would have been nice to at least have this display with the patients. I recently left another ENT because of how poorly his office was run. I may now need to look for another doctor again as while I adore Dr. Roth, I will not give business to persons I cannot trust. As someone who works personally in the medical field , I found their behavior very unprofessional. They seemed like they were more on a comedy tour than a doctors. office. So to a few comments below "olanchana" . I'm sure whoever posted the comment you were remarking about was in fact not crazy about Kaplin (I'll leave the Dr. Out of the front of his name gladly) . You say he has a dry sense of humor, I don't care about humor when I'm going to see someone who is actually supposed to behave as though he has a medical license. Maybe your children are not intelligent or developed enough to know a rude man when they come across one yet. He treated me , as a new patient , as though my concerns were ridiculous and I can still hear his PA and her crackling laughter . I hardly ever post a comment but these people left such a bad taste in my mouth that I felt compelled to say something about their juvenile behavior. I only saw Kaplin so I cannot speak for the other doctors but if they do not want their name tainted , I'd suggest they apply elsewhere or take out the trash.
I recently went in for a regular office visit that should have been billed as in-office. I paid my co-pay and left the office, but a month later I received a bill for around a few hundred dollars. They had, without me knowing it, done an outpatient service in the course of my visit. I called the office to have it resolved, but they said they would not be able to help. This makes me feel like they put profit before patient. Since my only job was part-time and seasonal the best they were willing to do for me was work out a monthly payment plan.
I have been going the the NE ATL ENT for about five or six years. I initially went because I thought I had a hearing loss in my left ear. I was correct. I saw Dr. Say and he was great. He suggested that I see the audiologist Dr. Nerren, she was WONDERFUL. I do have about a 30% hearing loss, which I think is a lot for someone in their 40s. It affects my life. As a therapist, I need to hear. I have had nothing but excellent service from the reception folks to the doctors. When a rechargeable battery for my hearing aid did not keep its charge very long, Dr. Nerren replaced it with 2 free batteries. These batteries are about $30.00 EACH. I think that was generous, and not something she had to do. It was good business practice though. Those kind of things keep me coming back. Keep in mind, you get what you give. Go in with a good attitude and you will probably get the same in return. JJ
I have had the pleasure of taking both of my children to this practice. Dr. Karlin is fantastic with kids and makes them feel so comfortable. The very negative review about wanting the patient to spend more money and being rude to her child are crazy! She either misunderstood him or has had her sense of humor removed as he has a very dry sense of humor. I would recomend all of the docs in this practice.
I went to see Dr Say because he was the first available appointment in Metro Atlanta. Due to the ratings on Kudzu.com I went into the office thinking I would be seeing another clueless and lazy doctor. I had been to two doctors before seeing Dr Say, and he diagnosed me with in 30 minutes. Like always, I researched everything the doctor told me, and it seems Dr Say knows what he is talking about, at least with what I had. The staff was very nice, and Dr Say has a great bedside manner. I feel a little guilty with all I have asked them to do. They have been very kind in helping me with tons of paperwork, promptly calling me back after hours, and they didn't charge me extra. I recommend Dr Say, even though it may take me longer to see him if more people know how good he is. Hopefully I won't need to his services again, but I would go to him if I need an ENT again.
I went to them for chronic sinus infections. What a waste of time. The front desk staff made fun of a lady for forgetting her purse; they arugued very loudly in front of people and my doctor Scott Karlin called my 3 year old daughter "gross" right in front of me in a very rude & snotty voice. Also, he had the audacity to charge me and charge my insurance company for just looking through my paperwork and prescibing me new drugs. When I asked him if the antibiotic he prescribed me had a generic he said "no" and then I told him I could not afford it, he became even more rude with me and said that the only other generic he could prescibe me I would only take 2 times a day instead of 3. If it clears me up, that is all that matters and he was offended that I would not pay the extra money for a drug that would be affordable only to doctors like him. He did not once even look at my nose or ears this visit. This was a follow up visit, but this visit could have been accomplished by a nurse calling me over the phone and save everyone money. The best part of it was when I asked him if I could get shots for my allergies to help me, he said no b/c he wanted me to spend more money out of my pocket on an MRI of my nose. Total ripoff!! I will NEVER go back there or refer anyone to this doctor or practice. BEWARE and don't ever expect Customer Service from anyone accept the nurse who does the allergy testing.
I don't normally write reviews, however, I could not help but to respond to the ONLY (and negative) review on Dr. Roth. Dr. Roth has treated me, both my children and my father-in-law for years. He has put 3 sets of tubes in my two childrens ears and performed a serious sinus sergery on my father-in-law. We ALL love him!! He has a VERY caring bedside manner and is wonderful with kids. He is also great with fearful parents going through first-time surgery on their children. At a very difficult time while I was very sick, (raising two young children, taking care of aging parents at home) he booked me same day and took the time to talk with myself and my husband about working at lifestyle issues to improve my stress and health. I am sorry that someone had a bad one-time experience. If he is secure, it is because he has reason to be. He has performed over 4,000 successful tube surgeries. We give him AND the other doctors we have seen at the practice an A+++++.
As an existing patient to a business, I have never been treated so rudely from a business let alone a medical practice. I came in on my appointment and let the office know my name will be change due to marriage (give the office a heads-up to put my new name on my records also. My ID and insurance were still under my single name. The Office Manager Nina Smith refused to treat us until I provided them with documentation on my new name. I suggested them to call my insurance company to discuss the issues and even offered to pay cash until I could fax them the document, but Nina Smith refused treatment until I produced the name change document for them. Luckily I had a copy at my office and I contacted my office and them fax a copy over. My ordeal with Northeast Atlanta ENT just started. Dr. Jeffery Roth decided at this point that it was more important for his to go to lunch that to treat a patient. After waiting an hour and fifteen minutes in pain waiting for Dr. Jeffery Roth to return I decided to ask his if he enjoy his lunch. This pompous Yankee had the audacity to take 30 seconds explaining how great his lunch was, even though he knew we were waiting for us to be seen. If you want to deal with professionals this is not the place to go.
I am an existing patient to this clinic and the staff told me that they can not contact my health insurance provider. I found out later that they did not even bother to call my insurance provider. And when I insist to call them again, the lady in the reception was very rude and let me wait for a long time. My pain gets really , really painful even more. What a waste of time!
I had cronic problems with nasal congestion. I saw Dr. Phillip Saye...after 3 months of seeing him and all the tests, he said there was nothing he could do for me...I found another ENT who immeadiately saw the problem...I was re-infecting myself with the nasal spray. I also had a deviated septum... He got rid of the infection, operated and I have been fine since. In my opinion, Dr. Saye was a waste of time and money....
