I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Whitesides recently and as far as extractions go it was a no brainer. I was in and out (on time) for my consult. He was very professional and provided me with all the info I needed. I chose to have general anesthesia so I would not feel any of the surgery. When the surgery time came I was nervous but he made me feel relaxed. Next thing I know I was watching TV in the recovery room, and home a short time later. I today's world of big medical practices that treat you like a number I really appreciated Dr. Whitesides' office for their personal touch. I would highly recommend them to anyone

I had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted yesterday morning (6/2) and the experience was pleasant, relatively speaking. My appointment was at 8:15 and was taken back for surgery shortly after. I could imagine some individuals feeling rushed as it all started very fast; I think there were 3 or 4 nurses all preparing me immediately while Dr. Whitesides talked to me briefly. I personally was glad that it was a quick start, but someone with terrible nerves might feel more anxious. However, like I said I was more than happy to get in and quickly go under to have the surgery done. I did feel very nauseous after surgery and ended up being sick when I got home. Thankfully I was prescribed meds for nausea, which helped almost immediately, but I expected that to happen as everytime I've gone under general anesthesia it does. My pain was easily managed all day yesterday with really only one spot causing me any true discomfort. I have been taking aleve in between doses of the pain medication I was prescribed and like I said with the exception of the one extraction site my pain has been very tolerable. Dr. Whitesides is definitely the perfect balance of professionalism and personality in my opinion. His nurses and staff are all lovely as well. Thankfully, I don't have to have this surgery again but if I ever need another oral surgery I will be back.

I was recommended to Dr Lee Whitesides by his son, one of my best friends. I came in for a consultation and Dr Whitesides walked me through the procedure, effectively explaining what was going to be done, and made sure that I didn't leave the office with any questions. On the day of the surgery, he and his staff made sure once again that I knew what was going on and that I was comfortable. The procedure was done very well, minimal swelling afterwards and quick heal times thanks to the prescriptions he called in. I would highly recommend Dr Lee Whitesides for any oral surgeon needs you may have.

I recently got adult braces and on the recommendation of my orthodontist, decided to go to have three extractions done to ensure improvement of the overbite I currently have. I went to Dr. Whitesides, and I'm so glad I did! He was very calm, patient, and careful to explain all the information to me (post op treatment, what to expect, etc) before, during, and after the surgery. I am a big baby when it comes to needles and having any type of surgery done- so I really appreciated him taking the time to explain to me everything to expect. He and his office exceeded my expectations and I would surely recommend him to anyone looking to have extractions done! Thanks again Dr. Whitesides!

I had such a great experience here! The doctor and assistants were amazing. I drove all the way from Rome and I can say that if I ever need any other treatment this is where I'll be coming. My recovery has been smooth even on the day I had my surgery. I can't reccomend Northside highly enough!!

My daughter just had 4 wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Whitesides at Northside Oral Surgery. He and his staff were excellent. I would recommend this practice to anyone. He explained the procedure, made sure we had all the required prescriptions filled and then offered (PRP) platelet-rich plasma that reduced swelling and sped up recovery. This is an addition cost, we chose to do it and my daughter was grateful that we did. My other child had wisdom tooth extraction by another local oral surgeon, she developed dry-sockets and was in terrible pain. The PRP greatly reduces the chances of this happening. Dr. Whitesides was heads above the other surgeon in every aspect of this procedure!

Dr. Whitesides and his staff were nothing short of AMAZING!! I was extremely nervous about having my wisdom teeth taken out (which is why I have put it off for so long). However, when I went in for my consult he was very thorough and left no questions unanswered. He also informed me of all the positive effects of platelet gel and why it's so important and beneficial in surgery(I HIGHLY recommend researching it, he is one of only a few that uses this technique). He and his staff really put me at ease and made me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed(which is nearly impossible)! They were extremely professional and worked me into their schedule right away with no hesitation! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Whitesides and his staff and will be sending all family/friends his way!

I had an infected tooth that bothered me for about a week. By the time I got to Dr. Mac the thing was killing me. He took his time, explained the process and removed the tooth w/o any issues. Great guy! I am out of pain and ready for that implant.

I schedule both my teenager boys to have their wisdom teeth removed on the same day, I was not sure what to expect especially with them having surgery the same day but every thing went well. They were the 1st appts of the morning which I loved, and Dr. Whitesides explain the procedure to me before starting the surgery. Both boys recovered really fast and they said if they knew it would be that easy they wouldn't have been so nervous. The doctor even called that evening to check on both boys. I would highly recommend Dr. Whitesides.

I went to Dr. Whitesides for his 995 dental implant as advertised. I was expecting Walmart but I got Nordstrom! Great service, excellent job on the implant (no pain and a fair price). He called me that night to check on me and at the one week follow-up he was patient with my concerns. Staff were fantastic and very helpful. I hope I don't need another implant but if I do I know where to go.

I went to Dr. Whiteside for an implant. I was told I have to wait four to six weeks to get the insurance company to pre-approve before the procedure. If not, I have to pay upfront and file the claim myself. I agreed to pay upfront $1,900 since it's my front tooth and I wanted done. I ended up not needing the bone craft procedure, which is $450. Instead of refunding back $450, they send me a check for $355. They told me the $95 is for the consultation from my first visit. I told them that that is something that they should file with the insurance company and deduct it from my check. They told me they did file it with the insurance company!! I logged online to Delta Dental and did not see any claims filed by them. Very lazy people at the office don't want to do their job and lying to their clients! Now I have to file an another claim for my consultation visit. I agreed to pay for the surgery upfront, not the consultation. The lady at the front is extremely rude. I would never step foot into that place again. Don't go there if you don't want to be rip-off.

Ms. Zekriq: I apologize for my staff not explaining the entire billing process to your understanding. I have addressed your particular case with my front desk and if your wish additional explanation please call. I also am not surprised Delta Dental has no record of our filing. Unfortunately this happen more often than one would expect. We are working on that today. I also do not believe you are complete in your review as your left off important information on how we tried to accommodate your particular needs. I appreciate the feedback and will work to gain your trust, but I ask that your be more complete in your description of your case.
