Do NOT CALL Northstar Exterieors, 6/10/2011

Our roof was installed in 2008 by the previous owners. In 2009 we wanted to purchase the home and the inspector informed us that the areas that needed flashing when the second roof had been... installed, had not been flashed, or flashed properly. During the negotiations for the home, we requested that Northstar redo the flashing. We received a letterhead note during negotiations with the previous owners that the work had been performed and the warranty would transfer to us. We believed what Mr. Moran has written, but it was useless to try to talk with him, because he never returned ONE of the many calls we made to him. Not long after we moved in, we had a roof leak which damaged the wood under the roofing, coming through the ceiling. (the REflashing had never been done). As well, we had water coming into the foundation area because the back gutter was not catching water pouring off the roofline since the roofing shingles overshot the gutter by two inches. We paid near $2,000. for a legitimate roofing company to make the necessary repairs AND gave this particular company our additional work of upgrade in skylights and installation of Leaf Relief. Unfortunately, we had such damage from the hail that we need replace of everything. One thing for sure, we won't call Northstar. They could have had our business, and perhaps we would be referring them, but they didn't even care about calling us back.....not once.

Great customer relations, 4/17/2008

I wrote this on Northstar Roofing, but because they are the same company I will right it here also. I just could not be happier so far with Northstar. Dave Moran is the owner, he came out this winter... I think in Jan beginning of Feb and repaired our roof the price was reasonable. But then with the high wiinds in March we had a leak again, he sent someone out in the rain and tarped our roof. Then was out the next day fixing it. He didn't charge me, never had that happen before. Then yesterday we went with a new roof and after signing the contract Dave took the price of the repair off the roof est. I am just estatic with this company so far. They are putting the roof on next week so I will let you knw what I think of that when they are done.
