The services are high end, I did like the spa treatment. The stylist are not attentive to the customer, snooty and a gossip mill. The talk about customers and the state of their hair. They overcharge you for something you can get done at the Dominican hair salon for $25. I try to support my people but it figures, the attitude is nasty, I rather go to the Dominicans.

My worst salon experience was at NSEYA. Horrible style. Horrible customer service. Stay away from this place. I was shocked at the way I was treated. The were very "uppity" I had an appt at the salon in sandy springs. My stylist was late and I was overcharged for my bad style. I hate nseya.

The service at Nseya is indeed upscale and above average. The salon is clean, the front desk is friendly (though some slightly snobbish), and the shop is managed well. When it comes to price, this is about all you are paying for. The stylist are good and your hair will look nice but nice does not equal healthy (my hair was damaged and overprocessed)and nice is not worth the price (over $200 for perm and style). There are plenty of other salons that will give you the same look, take better care of your hair, and cost less.

As a walk-in I specifically asked for someone exceptional and experienced with hair extensions. They gave me an appointment with a new girl with little experience. My hair was mediocre. Employees were not friendly and people were snobby. Would not recommened.

I have never had problems with dry flaking scalp until I started going to Nseya salon. I even had to seek medical help of a Dermatologists. I literally had huge flakes falling on my clothes after each salon visit. Once I stopped going to Nseya my scalp stopped flaking. Hmmmmm I wonder why....

I should've known what 2 expect when I had trouble booking my services. I went 2 the spa at the Roswell location, not the hair salon. There were advertised specials going on, yet when I called to make my appt., no one seemed 2 know anything about them. Yes, they were offering specials, but there were all these exceptions! I arrived before my appt., but my svcs. didn't start until 20 mins. after the scheduled time. The therapist apparently didn't know the correct service I was having, because it should've been 45 minutes, and it ended up being over an hour. Usually, u wouldn't see that as a problem (not being rushed, etc.). However, I was scheduled 4 another service after that. I was left in the waiting area (in my robe) for 20-25 minutes before anyone came back 2 check on me. I was told my next technician would be ready 4 me in "10 minutes ... he's running behind." Around this time, another customer was brought into the waiting area. 40 minutes later she asked ME if I knew how things worked there! Her appt. had been for 40 minutes prior and no one had come back 2 check on her or tell her what 2 do. I have no idea what a schedule even means 2 them, and/or how they make money with their spa services! It took me traipsing down the hall in my robe to find someone 2 ask if they could see when I'd be taken. Shortly after a further wait, I went 2 check out, deciding I couldn't let them waste any more of my time or money! DON'T GO!

Today I went to the salon in Midtown and was very impressed. The atmosphere was great as soon as I walked in I was greeted and did not have to wait . My stylist was great I told her what I wanted she made some suggestions and I walked out with a fly hairstyle . This is my new hair salon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nseya is one of the best salons in the Atlanta area for African American hair. I go to the location on Roswell Rd. I've never had a bad experience and my hair always looks great. Dominique, Jason, and Latrice are top stylist. Misty (jr sylist) and Natalie (for eyebrows) are good as well.

I was recommended by a friend whos hair is alway very nice. So I decided to take my daughter. She was greeted from an assistant that took her back, she then got a relaxer (at my request). I was told that I would receive a consultation and that the stylist was very good. Well I never did receive a consultation. The assistant actually put the relaxer on my daughters hair. Later the stylist styled her hair which was not that great. To make a long story short, the following day we took the scarf off of my daughters hair, she had various chemical burns in her head. We could barely comb her hair out. Just awful. Her hair has fell out in those spots where the burns were located. I later called the shop and explained my situation and was told that I would be called back, never did anyone call me back. I called back a week later and left a message on the owners phone, never did he call me back. $75 bucks for a teens head for this?? Never Again. Still to this day, no call from anyone. I will NEVER return to N'seya. Bad Business!!

I have visited several salons and hands down, this is the best for healthy hair care. I go to the location on joseph lowery (midtown location) and my hair has grown and become more manageable. Mac is the best!!
