jesse and whitney photographed my wedding two years ago and my new baby last year. they are not only the most wonderful and creative photographers, but they're also super-great people. i wouldn't be surprised if they make friends of every customer they have. my husband and i couldn't have asked for a happier experience. we love gracyn's family. :)

As soon as we met Jesse & Whitney (and Gracyn!), it was clear how wonderful they are and we just had to have them shoot our wedding. My now-husband and I had a few hiccups when it came to rescheduling after I landed in the hospital for a month last year, which interfered with our original wedding date. Even so, Jesse & Whitney were more than happy to work with us when we set the new date. There were no extra charges or grief - which is a real relief when you're having to RE-organize your wedding. The "smilebooth" is SO worth the price - all of our guests, including my off-duty professional photographer Uncle, agreed that it really added a special touch to the reception. Their assistant, Matt, was really nice and very patient with the little kids who ran *slightly* amok in the smilebooth (the apparatus is pretty sturdy apparently!). We definitely plan to use them for all of our professional portraits from now on. I even debated writing this review for fear they become too busy for us to book them again!

Jesse and Whitney the dynamic force behind Our Labor of Love photographed our September 2007 wedding, and I must say these are the most fantastic photographers available. Our wedding was featured in the Wedding Unveiled Winter 2008 publication as a result of their innovative artist perspective. Our entire experience with them was stellar! They pay exceptional attention to detail and still manage to make you feel like you're with old friends at the same time. I look back at our wedding photos now and feel even more connected and moved by the imagery than I thought possible. If you don't book them, you're missing out. Check out our link if you need more proof. http://ourlaboroflove.com/darkroom/share/?client/laurenchadslide

My partner & I used OLOL for our wedding. Whit and Jesse were very accommodating and friendly throughout the entire process. We were amazed by the quality of their work and their eye for creative, extraordinary shots. They are laid back and really try to work with you. If you want photographers who truly view their work as an art form, they are for you. Their shots are not your standard fare--thankfully.

I was recently in a wedding that Our Labor Of Love photographed and the experience and results were outstanding. Jesse and Whitney were a pleasure to work with and very patient with everyone (including the dogs!) They truly captured the magic and splendor of the event, and I know that our family could not have asked for better photographs of such a special day. If that special day ever comes for me, I won't think twice about what photographer to use. Our Labor of Love is the best!

Jesse and Whitney did our wedding. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing their work is. Some of our friends have forwarded the link to our pictures to their friends--total strangers to us--who have written me to tell me how wonderful they are. My partner and I are by no means model types but Jesse and Whitney made us look gorgeous!! And they couldn't be nicer people. It's just ridiculous. Booking them was probably one of the top 10 decisions of all time I've ever made.

My husband and I hired OLOL for our 3/24 wedding. Whitney and Jesse immediately proved themselves to be reliable and professional by answering our emails/phone calls in a timely, thoughtful manner. They were willing to work within our budget while still providing fantastic, magazine-quality results. They were respectful of and receptive to our ideas. They were a welcome addition to our wedding day by making our friends and family feel comfortable in front of the camera. OLOL shoots photojournalistic-style pics. If you want traditional wedding poses on your big day, then OLOL is not for you. They see things in a unique, organic way which translates beautifully into fresh, fun photography. I have already recommended OLOL to a number of our engaged friends. If they fit your budget, definitely check them out!

My fiancée and I recently hired Our Labor of Love (OLOL) to photograph our wedding and engagement shoot. Upon meeting with Whitney and Jesse, we immediately knew this couple's style and personality matched our own. While professional through and through, Whitney and Jesse bring a youthful, artistic style to traditional wedding photography that older photographers simply cannot match. OLOL's photographs are gorgeous and inspire emotions of joy and excitement that make standard wedding photos look plain and boring in comparison. Even people not associated with our wedding are in awe of the quality of our pictures. Whitney and Jesse managed to capture our love in their work and we couldn't be happier. Surely their website will no doubt convince you that more love and attention go into each captured moment than most photographers give the entire event. Finally, if my words here cannot convey how happy I am with OLOL, I would be willing to discuss my satisfaction (and independence of OLOL) over email. Please feel free to contact me via whet1134 [at] yahoo [dot] com. Serious email only please.

From the minute that my fiancée and I met Jesse and Whitney of Our Love of Labor ("OLOL"), we knew that we had found the perfect pair to shoot our wedding. While OLOL's website illustrates their ability to take breathtaking pictures, it is the photographers themselves that make this company stand heads above others. During a time in which many engaged couples experience stress and pressure from several different outlets, working with Jesse and Whitney is such a pleasure and a fun experience. They are the type of people who after only a few short hours, you feel as if you have known them for years. Their ability to set you at ease and to be able to bring out your personality within their pictures makes them unique and quite different from more traditional companies whose primary goal is to take a specific set of pictures, regardless of the couple's individualities. The level of detail and the artistic expression contained within each and every of their shots is truly phenomenal. Although it is true that OLOL has photographers which are younger than some other companies' employees, it is this fact which creates a significant advantage over these other companies as OLOL exhibits a level of creativity and ingenuity which is not found elsewhere. Additionally, OLOL is able to display professionalism without being pretentious. And unlike some of my other wedding vendors, OLOL has answered every communication promptly and fully. I truly cannot speak highly enough of OLOL.

This young couple, parading as professional adults almmost ruined the night for my neice. Whitney and Jesse cancelled two days before, explaing that there was a more lucrative booking but that they would come to my neice's special day for an up-charge. After she refused the price increase, the couple gave a sob story about having a family to support and said that they would not refund any money since technically she was cancelling the event by not paying the up-charge. Needless to say, my neice was devastated since she had secured this company, Our Labor of Love, several weeks/month ago. It is my opinion that the other glowing reviews on this site are either fictious or fabricated by the husband and wife owners to generate business for their side hobby. After scolding my neice, my wife and I paid for a wonderful photographer who had the appropriate prestige and professional experience to photograph our event without any drama, or request to "network" and perform a 5-6 minute speech about the company at the event. This couple doesn't seem to understand that a person's special day is not an opportunity to network or price guage at the last minute. OLOL does not deserve any stars.

To whom this may concern and drmartin, this is very concerning to us since we have never cancelled an event or wedding. Once we sign a contract with a client we are in a full binding agreement. This leads us to believe that this is not a client and instead a fellow photographer or someone who doesn't wish us well. It is too bad that there are people out there who do not support us in our success. I do invite whoever wrote this email to contact us directly so we can make amends.Whoever may be concerned by this previous comment, please contact us to gather as many references as you would like. Pick a date and we'll give you the clients contact information. We wish the best for everyone. Warmest Regards, Jesse and Whitney
Whitney + Jesse shot our wedding in April and the results are breathtaking and beyond our expectations. They are so professional and yet it was also like having old friends take our photos. They truly captured the spirit of our wedding and I am so thankful to now have the photos to match my memories.

I had heard from a friend that Jesse and Whitney did portraits and family shoots as well as weddings, so I called them to see if they would photograph me throughout my pregnancy and some family shots after my son was born. I am usually a but nervous in front of a camara and wasn't excited about being pohotgraphed, but thought the pictures would be something I would cherish for a lifetime. Jesse and Whitney we so calm and warm that I was immediatly at ease and I ended up really enjoying the few hours we spent with each other. Each shoot was like this, it was like having old friends taking pictures of our special moments, but these pictures actaully turned out beautifully! We have had 5 sessions with them and have been so happy with everything. Jesse and Whitney are our family's photographers, and will be forever. I fell so fortunate to have found them, they made it possible for us to revisit a glorious time that flew by. Thank you Jesse and Whitney. Linda Zukoski

My fiance and I were looking for photographers to take some couple's portraits and Our Labor of Love was located conveniently by our home and was willing to work with our budget. Jesse and Whitney were so personable and made the two of us feel relaxed during what we thought would be an akward experience. The photos are so unique and the whole experience was just fantastic. Thanks guys!

My sister used these guys four months ago at her wedding, and the images she got were breathtaking and so original. I loved them so much that I scheduled a session to get my own portraits done. I'm so excited to work with them!
