Oconee Painting provided exceptional service from the time of our estimate, through the end of our contract. Wes is not only a wise business man, but individual of integrity. We hired the "team" to paint the exterior of our home before our son's graduation party. Melanie Hudson is their color specialist who contracts with them, and made the anxiety producing decision of selecting colors into an effortless endeavor. I am 110% pleased with the color selection, in addition to the carpentry work, and painting job overall. Wes, along with his brother Joe, and their team of skilled carpenters and painters were thorough to the last detail my husband and I brought before them. When a problem surfaced with our roof, we didn't hesitate to go with Wes's company, Oconee Roofing, for a brand new roof during the process. Oconee Painting is financially competitive, while offering top notch service. We give them a gold star in addition to ongoing recommendation. -Scott & Sheri Porterfield, Bishop, GA

If you want a premium job at a fair price, call Oconee Painting. They did 3 days of preparation before paint touched the house and the house looks amazing! You get what you pay for and Oconee Painting is worth every penny. Highly recommend them to anyone.

We subcontract jobs to Wes and Sara. Wes and Sara ask for no money up front. He always gives us a price in writing when myself or Connie calls him out. He has never changed a price unless we add work on. He has never collected until we both walk the job and confirm everything is up to par. He is not the cheapest, but I don't want the cheapest. I want the best. We have tenants in our properties, so it is important to us that the people are uniformed and pass a back ground check. Oconee Painting has done work for us now for 11 years. My parents use him as well. He owns the local paint store, so he uses the highest quality paint and quite frankly probably pays half of what other contractors do. I give him the highest quality rating in the Athens area. I love the fact that his warranty is backed by his store. I also love that he never requirs me to pay before the work is 100% done. Wes asked me to leave an honest review. I hope this helps. Thanks

I have used Oconee Painting a couple of times with great results. Everything I asked them to do was done and a little extra on their part. A couple of boards needed replacing and they did it for me along with the painting. Painters were very nice and respectful and did a wonderful job. I am enjoying the outcome!

Oconee Painting did an outstanding job on my home. The quality of the paint and the guys who did the work were were outstanding. My estimate was on target. I did add a couple of things after the job had been estimated, and he was very reasonable. The painters showed up on time and were very respectful. As with any work there is some inconvenience, but they made it a rather easy experience. Very pleased!

Kitchen paint initially did not match, took way too long, had to keep going over mistakes and missed spots. Two guys did come thru and correct whatever I asked. They left a mess of paint cans and used floor paper bundled in my garage for six days. I could not park in my garage. After my kitchen and living room was started I asked them not to do the rest of the trim in my house. He didn't deduct much from my original quote on my final bill. I disputed the amount he was charging for trim work done. He told me to pay quickly or he was calling the magistrate court. He also said he was overcharging me because he underbid my living room to get the job. I was highly disappointed to pay the final price on my trim because I felt it was too high. I was glad to pay for the other work completed. Despite the troubles, all in all, my house looks good.

This lady is not truthful. Her name is Ashley Blackwell. She was given a bid in writing. After given a bid, she decided to paint on her own. After she painted her Kitchen and was not happy woth her work, she called me again to decided to hire us. I gave her a bid in writing. She agreed to the bid. I do believe the paint store had a batch variance, so the cut in color in the kitchen was slightly different. We immedialty repainted the entire kitchen at no additional cost, so she would have a beautiful finish. We also bought and installed new trim and baseboard for an area of her kitchen that used to have a built in table. We did this free of charge and without being asked to. Her trim was stained and had an oil base clear coat over it. We had to prime with oil base primer and apply TWO coats of finish. The small portion she asked us not to do was already white and required about 10 hours of total labor to complete. She was given a reduction in price based on it needing ONE coat unlike the rest of the home that we THREE coated, and caulked. Ashley orginally wrote some pretty dirty remarks, yet when the day her house was finished she bragged about the quality of the job we did. She couldn't believ how well NAthan cut in. (A 15 year veteran painter)The day I was finished she sent me a text saying that my ladders would be set at the end of the road. (So anyone could steal them) I have painted since 1998. I have never had a lady be as hateful as this customer. I gamble every job that I do. I provide ALL MATERIALS AND LABOR until the customer is happy. I have to rely on an ethical customer to pay the bill. When A customer tells me that her home looks great and brags on my painters, It is time to pay the bill. I believe Ashley could never really afford me. The total bill was around $3,500. That was too much to pay for her, and THAT IS THE REAL REASON SHE DID NOT WANT US TO PAINT MORE. IF WE WERE DOING SUCH A BAD JOB, WHY WOULD SHE ADD ADDITIONAL WORK IN THE KITCHEN AND LIVING ROOM? She claimed my guys spilled paint. Not true. We use drop cloths, BUT to give great service, I had her carpet cleaned. I don't know what else I can do to make a customer happy. Customer service and the internet is how I support my family.
You may want to Check THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU rating of this company before hiring them. Oconee Painting has an F rating with The BBB. Hopefully, the owner Wes will work to resolve that dispute, but I seriously doubt it. You never know when or if this company's employees will show up for work. There is no real supervision of the crew. With different painters showing up daily, there is no real accountability. Too over-priced for what you get. You initially get one quote only to end up being up charged again and again. Wes (the owner), is a fast talker and greedy. As long as he can get the paint up, he is not concerned with your satisfaction. Comparison shop before hiring Oconee Painting. You may read and see positive reviews about this company but, I believe the owner get others to write them for him or does quality work where and when he needs those good comments/reviews. Sorely disappointed! The good employees who work for this man should walk out on him. Unprofessional to say the least.

I have no idea who this is! I will have this removed. I assume it is my compititon. My number is 706-215-0062 If I am such a bad guy, call me and tell me who you are and what job was done poorly. You say you love my painters and they should quit??? If We only have one crew, so I am not sure what OTHER paint crews could show up daily. This is false. I also have never registered with BBB, but I will do so now. I have a strong referral base of recent customers and old customers. YOU NEVER PAY UNTIL YOU ARE 100% SATISFIED . Look on my facebook page, See if this review matches up to my work or customers. Its not true.
Wes does an incredible job... The process they went through to make sure I was satisfied was wonderful. I did not even have to pay until there were finished. When the job was finished it was $270 less than the estimate! So pleased!

Wes sent out a great group of guys to paint our home! They even replaces our garbage disposal for us. The inside of our home looks incredible. I love the uniforms too!
