All it takes is One Good Woman? Not when it comes to moving your belongings. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. One Good Woman Moving had been hired to do my office move at 5.30pm one day. They called and confirmed that day. 5.30pm came and went. We called them several times - of course no answer. When we finally got though to them at 7.15pm, they weren't far away.... Another 15 minutes, and a rental van arrived. The movers (the "chief" and four others) looked around the office suite. We had some desks, table/chairs/sofa/a cooler /some pictures and twelve movers boxes. One Good Woman Moving was given in good time a full spec of what we had to move. Amazingly, One Good Woman Moving hadn't brought a dolly or anything to assist with the move. And because they hadnt' brought anything to assist, they told me it would take several hours to move. They started to carry the boxes out stacked two high on our office chairs! I spoke to the chief and asked him to call "One Good Woman". I was very concerned that I had to pay more because they hadn't brought the proper tools for a move. They spoke, but the owner wouldn't speak to me. You see, it being 8.00pm by this time, she was with her family, but we COULD speak the next morning. One Good Woman Moving then took the first six or eight boxes downstairs. About 15 minutes later, they returned with the boxes. They had decided, at 8.30pm not to move me, as I had questioned the additional expense caused by them not having a dolly.

I used OGW Moving in July 2006 and I will never use them again. Why? One of my shelves in a bookshelf was lost. The footboard of my bed was damaged. Jennifer (the owner) did not return calls or emails in a timely manner. The person contracted & sent to repair my footboard was unable to do a proper repair. The 2 movers were extremely slow and charged me for time they took to stop and eat, drink, & smoke. Never again.

I won't use these movers again. They were late for our appointment (we had booked the service elevators and this caused me some difficulties with the building I was leaving). They weren't organized, they were chatting to each other as much as they were working. I am sure this move (which I paid for by the hour) took a great deal longer than it should have. Suffice to say when I saw the other review on this site, I wished I had seen it before I called them

I didn't think they were reliable or professional. They did turn up for the appointment after the time they had said. I didn't think the team were the most experienced at handling my possessions. They weren't as careful as I would have beenn if I had done it myself. When I unpacked, some wooden pieces I had were broken. It must have taken a bit of a drop for them to break. I felt at the end of the move, there was almost an expectation that I was going to tip the workers. I honestly didn't think they deserved one. I wouldn't use them again. Afterwards I read another review of them. It made me annoyed that I had not checked reviews of this company before using them. The BBB recommended that people not use this company. That is all I need to know. I will not be recommending them to friends EVER.
