I bought some Brighton sandals at a small store in June 2010. They didn't have the size we were looking for, so they ordered us a different size. A few months went by and they kept telling us the shoes weren't in. I was told that they wait to send shoes back to Brighton when they have enough shoes that makes a full box, so the shoes were sitting the back all summer. When we picked up the shoes (in October, I believe), they had ordered the wrong size and they were too small. They sent the shoes back and we went to pick them up today (Yes, they finally arrived in November.) They aren't the same color, but the shoe store refused to do any business with me. Of course, I was furious and wanted my money back. It had been a very long time. The owner of the store would not refund my money because they were "special order". She said that the color was the same color and that I was wrong. That they were my shoes now and that there was nothing else she would do for me. Unfortunately, I was trying to match a specific color, so I'm certain that they are not the same color as the previous two pair of shoes. I have the box and the receipt and I honestly don't know what to do. I'd settle for an exchange, or even credit to be able to buy in the spring (these were sandals I had purchased), but I don't want to do business with that store anymore. I just feel like I've been taken for a ride by a store that doesn't care one way or the other.
