This preschool is incredible. The teachers are some of the best and many have been here for more than 15 yrs. Teacher/child ratios are low, children learn so much and the kids in the Pre-K program are learning 1st grade level material. First class program from 6 week thru Pre-K. My children have been so well cared for and nutured since they were infants.

Open Arms came very highly rated so we enrolled our child without question. However, we never really connected with the place. Staff turnover is high and the teachers are very moody--sometimes friendly, sometimes they won't even acknowledge a hello. Communication was an issue from day 1. The daily status sheets were not worth the paper they were written on. The teachers would often contradict verbally what they had written on the sheet and would rarely review our child's day with us. The classrooms are not very bright or cheerful and the facility often smells of poopy diapers. The playground is nice but they corral the younger children into a small area with no playground equipment (just some playhouses). My child was enrolled for two years before we finally had enough. We transferred our child to another school and the change was immediate. Our new school has qualified, cheerful teachers. The facility is spotless and odor-free and we feel like we know what our child is doing all day. Best of all, my child is noticably happier and loves her school! I did not realize my child did not like Open Arms but now that we have moved, it is obvious. Bottom line, Open Arms will take adequate care of your child but that is about it.

This daycare/school is one of the best. We looked at a lot of daycares when we moved here just over a year ago and this one is the one we chose and have not been disapointed yet. The teachers are all very friendly and helpful in teaching your children the basics of pre-school. If we have any other children, this is where they will go.

Both of my children attended Open Arms from age 3 months through Pre-K. The teachers are very loving and the turnover is low. Both of my children had the same teachers! The school has a strong curriculum, especially the Pre-K program. Both children graduated from Pre-K and were accepted at private schools! I felt they were very well prepared or ahead of most students when they entered kindergaraten.
