Outback is one of a rotating group of restaurants we like to visit on Friday nights, although we generally will pass on it if we get too late of a start, as it does get crowded quickly. There's a good reason it's popular though, with quality steaks and a wide selection of other meats and fish, as well as some appetizers worth visiting for. We tend to start off with a bloomin' onion for the appetizer, they've proven consistently good, but if we've ever had one a bit overdone they've replaced it. They also don't look askance if you request an awesome blossom by mistake (Chili's downmarket version).. The coconut shrimp and crabcakes are also good options. I've had most of the steaks on the menu and have been pleased with them, the top sirloin is always good and usually very lean. My wife likes their specialty salads and soups, and my son enjoys the kids burgers, chicken fingers and especially the rib dinner. The Outback griller meals are a flavorful lighter alternative, I often get the Salmon griller. The fish is done well, with a nice crispy exterior and served with a complex, rich rice pilaf and grilled vegetables. Bread is usually warm and fresh, however the butter is hit or miss tastewise. Salads are large and well done, and on the rare occasion we've had room for dessert it's always been excellent. Outback is our choice for a lot of "special occasion" dinners also.

I love the curbside service from Outback. The food is still hot when I get home and tastes great. The staff is always courteous and friendly.
