disrespectful, 9/20/2012

We met with Brad from padre pools twice and sometime during the second meeting he decided that he didn't want to build me a pool but instead of telling me that he scheduled a meeting for the... following week to give us the final bid. When the meeting date came around my wife and I rushed to get our son fed bathed and ready for bed so he could have our attention. Brad never showed up for the meeting, never called, and never returned my calls. When I called the business office I was given an apology and was told that Brad did not feel we were serious about putting in a pool. I don't have a problem with that but why would he schedule a meeting rather than just saying he could not do the pool. Like I tell my two year old, "use your words." The office manager seemed very nice and said he would get us another designer and call me back but I never got a call back from him either. I suggest not to use this company because they are disrespectful, inconsiderate, and rude. My wife and I just signed a pool contract tonight to start building a pool in two weeks with "superior pools." They are a great family owned business that was very patient with all of our questions.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, 1/20/2012

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They replastered my pool last year. After it's finished, the water was turned on to fill the pool. We were not home at the time, and no one cared to notify us (leaving a... note or calling or telling us beforehand) when the pool might be full, and what we should/should not do. We went home later, turned off the water -- otherwise it will get full midnight. A few hrs later I read something online, "If you turn off the water while filling the pool, a "bathtub ring" will be left at the level where the water was shut off". OMG!!! I jumped out of bed to turn the water back on at 1am! I talked to one of the company owners when he came the next day. He simply said "Oh, it does not look like you get the bathtub ring". HELLO?! Yes, I think that's because I read about it and turned the water back on quick enough! What if I did not and waited till the next morning?! My brand new pool with a "ring"?! There was no apology at all from this company for not letting the customer know about important issues! I know they gave part of the work to subcontractors, but it's still their responsibility to take care of their customer-- as my check of thousands of $$ was paid to them!! -- Oh, another thing-- they asked me to pay before the job was completed. As problems left behind I need to contact them. I can definitely tell the different attitude b/a they got paid-- not answering phone calls/replying messages-- extremely unprofessional!!

Completely Exceeded our Expectations

Our pool was finished in less time than we were told it would take. Because of Padre’s extensive knowledge and expertise we now have the pool of our dreams…. under budget! We have many large palm trees that we thought might get damaged in the building process, because they were so careful with the entire project not one tree was damaged. Our phone questions were answered right away - if someone was not available we received a phone call back within an hour. Our yard was picked up at the end of every day and they even swept the street. Perfect project management, everything was handled and scheduled for us. And the best part is we get lots of complements from our friends and family on the beauty of the pool and how perfectly it fits in our yard – we love it and would highly recommend Padre Pools!

Long wait, big mistakes...

Padre Pools let me down big time! They took more than nine months to finish my pool after estimating four. They dug the hole and let it sit there for two months while the rain came and eroded the sides. The backyard turned into a muddy disaster! One side of the pool is an inch higher than the other. They blamed everything they did wrong on subcontractors that were working with little oversight. They installed the wrong pool drains and made me contact the plaster company because now they have to break through the plaster to make the correct drains fit. Isn't that why you hire a pool company? To manage this for you? They would say they were coming back only to show up a week or two later. They also left a lot of junk behind when they left. Then when my pool breaks it was a pain to get them to service it and now that they have it is an even more broken swampy mess!

Padre Pools - a vendor to avoid

Padre Pools did not finish our pool in a timely fashion. It tooks 5 months instead of 3 months as stated in the contract. these guys could not pass the steal inspection, and it took 3 extra amounts of steal and basically it caused a 2 month delay. I contacted them on several occasions, and they responded on their own terms. The pool should have beend concluded in June, and was not finished until August. The pool is nice, but my neighboor used another company, and was done right on time without delay in 3 months. Get a pool company you can trust to complete your pool on time without hassle. Once you sign the contract you are at the mercy of your builder.
