Pangaea's sandwiches are unique. They come from all around the world and have high quality ingredients, many of them made fresh at the restaurant, like marinated fish, sausages, ribs, etc. go to Pangaea whenever I am in the area. The staff are really friendly. The portions are enormous. Getting this quality of food at these prices are really amazing.
I had heard about Pangaea from a couple friends, and decided to give it a go...now it is a regular spot (at least once a week!). The Bahn mi sandwich is so flavorful (try the pork), and the bread is incredible. I have tried most of the menu, and the Saturday brunch is a favorite spot for my wife and I.
A colleague of mine knows the best places in this area for lunch, and this one definitely is a cut above your Tech Square fare. Austere furnishings, great artwork, friendly staff, comfortable patio, excellent food. The pork Baha Mi sandwich tasted great, though was not as lean as I would have liked. My companion's noodle bowl was simply beautiful - she always gets it. Go!

It was way after 2 pm and I was starving. I pulled into this restaurant I had never heard of before, and would totally have driven away if it were not for the sign they had placed on Marietta St (thank you for that). I went into this little establishment and ordered a Panini and while I waited noticed the very vibrant and unique paintings filling the wall. The sandwich took about 5 minutes and it was worth the wait (excellent). In the mean time, I bought this wonderful rooster painting, chatted with the owner in regards to ordering for a lucheon that I might give to a client or two, and walked out very pleased with the whole experience. Will go again. It's not a frigging franshise and the atmosphere feeled your spirit with realness. Nice.

Unique food from around the world. On Saturdays they do a great brunch, try the Israeli breakfast, they do a Yemenite pancake called Malawach, which is tasty! Also, the no-mayo tuna salad sandwich rocks. Did I mention the coconut bars as well....and, and , and....
