I have been purchasing scones in the downstairs bakery for the past year. They are usually very good; today I discovered that the price per scone has been raised from $1.50 to $2.00. A 33% price increase in this economy is outrageous, and I shall never go back for the scones or to eat downstairs or in the dining room upstairs. I can get 3 scones for $2.99 at Trader Joe's and 6 for $3.99 at Kroger.

I just took my mom to the downstairs deli this past weekend. Quirky decor aside, this is really just a sandwich bar. We had two sandwiches and two sodas from a can. The sandwiches were tasty -- the quality was good. I had the pork BBQ and my mom had the veggie and hummus. Overall -- decent food but the total price was about $20 -- that's quite a bit considering there was no sides like fries or a small salad. I would probably skip this place next time and look for better value somewhere else.

Very disappointed in my second visit to Parish for brunch. The first visit was very good and I couldn't wait to return. However, my second visit was very average at best. I ordered the "Bella's Omelet" only to find that the cheese was missing so I sent it back. When I began eating the omelet I then realized that there was zero flavor to the overall omelet -- little or no seasoning at all. My "Louisiana-style" hash browns were simply diced and oven-baked potatoes -- no flavor at all! I couldn't understand why they were described as "Louisiana-style?" My friend ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, he stated that the crab cakes were so salty that he could not eat them. Instead of sending the dish back he decided to deal with it and continue with the dish -- not sure why he chose to do this? I will go back for another visit but this visit (Sunday, January 11) was very disappointing.

We have eaten at Parish's downstairs market a bunch of times and have always liked it. A couple of times we've picked up the "dinner for four" to-go meals, and the last time made for a very notable customer service experience. The last dinner we picked up was fairly lackluster. Not bad, just mediocre and not really a dinner for four. We called to complain, and the incredibly helpful manager, Marcie, actually had a new dinner brought out to us. Not just a new dinner, but two giant bags of food. It all showed up within half an hour of our call. This is the best response we've ever had to a complaint, and we couldn't believe how accommodating they were. Two thumbs up for the stellar customer service. You don't find that kind of service these days, and it's nice to see it's not totally dead. As for the food, it's usually excellent, so we assume we just hit an off night. We'll be back for sure.

Excellent variety in the menu. I love that you can choose between an upscale dinner in the front or a more casual experience in the rear. Decent priced menu items for both!

Parish makes for a great time, either for drinks with friends, a quick bite to eat downstairs, or for dinner. When they get swamped it does require some patience, but it is well worth it. Everything, including the staff, can't be beat!

This new restaurant has it all. Ambiance, decor, a cool old building (fully rehabed) and great staff. Then there's the menu which is just the best getting better. The chef and kitchen staff are truly committed to their craft. Fire up and get over here for a great evening for drink and apps or full dinner .
