I have been going there for 2 years. Recently the doctor and staff made me pay $50 for a health certificate that was already 5 days old! Needed it for international travel and had to get it authenticated by USDA. By the time the USDA sent it back, ($86.00 later) the Health Cert. had expired because Dr. Jones and staff dated it for 5 days BEFORE I picked it up. I had to go back and get a new Health Certificate. Dr. Jones wanted to charge me full price for it!! Another $50!! I refused because it was the Vet's fault. He only reduced it by 50% and did not accept any responsibility for it. Ha also charged me $200 for blood work that would have cost 1/4 if I had gone elsewhere. Vet, is rundown, staff are lazy and Dr. Jones is unethical. Don't go there.

I have taken both my pets to this vet recently. We received good service from the secretary and the doctor was great. The prices were lower than other vets in the area. I have already recommended this vet to several friend, who have also been pleased with their experiences.

I have three dogs and have taken them to Dr. Jones for over three years. Unfortunately, Dr. Jones is never available to see them anymore as he is "in surgery" every day the office is open during every hour of the day--if you believe his office staff. The other vet in the office took three months to diagnose a simple skin disorder, which resulted in one of the dogs loosing much of her hair and being miserable during repeated visits, lots of bills, and unsuccessful treatments. I have recommended this office to many people in the past, but over the past year the service has taken a nose dive. The front office staff aren't reliable and as a result I had an insurance claim denied because they didn't submit it for over three months, which cost me $200. Overall, I can't recommend this office anymore! Try Black Mountain Animal Hospital instead!

I'm surprised at all of the negative reviews on here. We have taken our 7 yr old shelter rescue here for about 4 yrs and recently took our 3 mos old puppy for his first 2 rounds of shots. We have taken the 7 yr old when she was sick once too. We have seen both vets here and both were kind and answered questions. It is easy to get an appt and their prices often are on the cheaper end compared to other vets. I won't say that they are outstanding, but overall we've been pleased with the care that our dogs have been given.

REFUSING TO RELEASE MY DOGS!! Beyond awful. I've had to retain an attorney for Pete's sake! I brought my 2 dogs in on a Friday for boarding until Monday, at $21 dollars per night for both. I was informed they needed to be up to date on all shots (understandable). So I responded that I think only one is behind on his rabies shot- and asked if they could do it there. They told me they could. I returned on Monday to pick them up, and the invoice was $199!!!! They told me both my dogs were behind on all vaccinations so they went ahead and took care of it because they have to. No one contacted me, no one said this to me while I was there, nothing! If they called their prior vet across town to find out- why wouldn't I be informed that I'll be charged THREE TIMES what I expected to pay- $63 dollars- I don't have the 200 simply because they gave vaccinations they didn't feel were important to tell me about!! At this point they tell me that if I don't pay in full, that they will keep my dogs until I do. I called the police, who couldn't help, and my dogs are still there- while they continue to charge the boarding cost each day until I pay!!!!!! Their paperwork states clearly that there must be proof of vaccinations PRIOR to boarding. Accepting my dogs and saying yes, we can do the rabies shot here- tells me that everything is ok! Had they made the call, and figured it out while I was still there- I would have known I can't pay 200, and would not have left them there!!!!

After repeated poor service and rude staff I am finished with this Vet. Disappointed with the service and the rude treatment I asked to speak to Dr. Jones and was told that he was "busy." I waited until after the close of business patiently and the Doctor never had the dignity of showing his face. This is not the first...or second time similar incidents have occurred. Enough is enough.... there are enough other vets that do a fine job and provide acceptable service. I would not recommend this vet to anyone.

I have been going to Parkway Springs Animal Hospital for three years now. The staff has always been friendly in the past, but there has been some changes and not for the better. I have been waiting 4 weeks now for perscription food for my dog...I wonder if they will ever get it in. It's time to find a new clinic where the staff cares as much about the customer as it does the animals.

The doctors and staff seem to really care about all of the animals. They were especially warm and caring when I had to put my dog down. I will always take my animals there.
