Patrick Carmen NR.9 SALON

I have super thick and stiff type hair. I sat down in the chair told Patrick I just wanted to keep the length and told him to go for it. I didn't have to remind him to razor thin it, etc. He just knew! Best cut I've had in over 10 years. I looked beautiful when I left the chair!

Very 1st online review I've ever written. Having said that, my experience at Patrick's has been FABULOUS! Have you ever been to a salon w/ different level hair stylists? Don't know which level to pick? Just call Patrick. He’s the actual owner & he is by far one of the most talented hair stylist I’ve had. Very easy to talk to. He listened to what I wanted & made expert suggestions. My new hair is so easy to take care of & looks awesome! I’m now switching from another E.Cobb salon to the NR.9 Salon. TKS!!

As with any review, it's a grain of salt. Use it to spice up your experience as you see fit. Here is how my experience is:
Despite the confusing name, the energy of Patrick's salon is good. And if you ask he'll explain the name's history with no problem. While not a large hair salon physically, that is compensated for by creating a modest environment where you—the customer—is the 'star' so to speak. And in a business where you are paying good money for self-improvement, makes sense.

Patrick has been a swell at taming the beard for it tends to become unmanageable, and he has worked wonders. He is open and upfront with feedback when I consider alternate beard styles. Long story short, he's good with mens' hair and pretty quick.

Admittedly, he also offers grooming services for men that aren't listed here—simply meaning I have an area where a little hair grows that I cannot reach myself (savvy?) and he is willing to blade it off (no wax, n-o). This is not an easily discussed topic for men with haircutters, but I have learned I'm certainly not the only one and several out there can relate to this note.

Cost-wise it feels a bit towards the high end, but with the services I've asked for I can't complain. Plus this is coming from a frugal guy who used to visit great clips and marvel at the $7 pricing. But I got what I paid for, butchered hair. And I have no main price comparisons to really debate it, so it may be a fair price in Atlanta.

I went to see Patrick on a recommendation of a friend. I have naturally curly hair and have had a hard time finding someone who knows how to cut curly hair. Patrick did a fabulous job!! He is my new permanent hairdresser!!
