I'm tired of each year going to Dr. Rothman and feeling like she's rushed and disinterested. I also don't know why she keep changing locations and now she's in Reagan Medical Center. That seems odd and all the calming and soothing atmosphere that she always had in her lobby is gone. Now it's just has a big screen TV. She doesn't say good-bye when she finishes the exam, she just walks out then you're left wondering if she coming back or not. I'm through with Dr. Rothman.

If you are like me and need a doctor who has "time" for you, and has the time to address your health concerns...find another doctor. We were like a herd of cattle in that place.

ive seen her twice at regan medical on medlock bridge road..and trust me im never going back..she does not give time to her patients and is in a hurry always..when arrived on the appointment time she would make you wait for not less than 15 minutes..ive had questions unanswered..i went for pregnancy ultrasound and bingo..it was all done in less than a minute..god knows what she did there..i think she was more concerned about the termination i was planning for..handed me over the prescription and told me nothing about the medication..i swear im not going back to her again...

My daughter went to see her and came home in tears. Why did she get into medicine when she hasn't a compassionate bone in her body? I guess the fact that she changes offices so often should have been a clue to her dedication...

I love Dr. Rothman!!! She has always been straight forward and wonderful to work with. I have always had abnormal cycles and she has always been there for me through tough times and has always been there for me. I don't know who these people are that are speaking negatively about her but my experience has always been very pleasant and I highly recommend her. Sincerely, Blk patient of Dr. Rothman since 1995

I'm disappointed in some of the reviewers that can't separate the "office staff" with Dr Rothman's service!! If you are looking for a gyn, she's the best!! I've been going to her for nearly 20 years at different practices. She has always handled my concerns (and my emotions) as a professional! Her first priority is always her patient's health. The office staff is not at her control & shouldn't be the reason for the bad reviews. I am there for my health, not the bills! Any insurance issues I've had were always addressed & resolved. I recommend her to EVERYONE that needs a new gyn!!

Whoever is mad at her for waiting at the doctors office is crazy! You always wait at a doc's office! I have not waited too long - ever - but it would be worth the wait. She is a true professional. She is compassionate and handles emergencies first so a regular check up is secondary if you are in the lobby. Use your common sense! If you were there with an emergency - wouldn't YOU want to be seen asap before me - who just came in for a refill? I totally trust her and will continue to have her as my doctor. She also gives back to the community and helps homeless animals. She is a good example for all! She is the BEST DOCTOR I have ever been to!!!

I randomly chose Dr. Rothman out of my provider book. Big mistake!! I was the only person in the waiting room and I waited over an hour and then another 30 minutes after being put in a room. Dr. Rothman was very short with me and it was an extrememly uncomfortable exam. She asked me what I did for work and after telling her she said that it wouldn't last and that it wasn't the job for me!! I have had the same job for 10 yrs!! The nerve of her!! Also, every year I have my obgyn prescribe an anti-anxiety pill for when I fly. I usually get 10 pills and it will last me a least an entire year. When I asked her for a prescription she looked at me like I was a drug addict!! I told her not to worry about it and got them from my PCP. I will be finding a new doctor!!

Dr. Rothman is inept at managing her business and her patience are paying the price. She allowed her contract with my insurance carrier to expire and did not tell her patience. Not only that but when I received a notice from the insurance stating this (this is how I found out)I called to make an appt and also mentioning the insurance issue. I was told that she was reinstated and there would be no problems. I kept the appt, paid my co-pay and expected insurance to pay the balance. As far as I knew this is what happened. Until I received my EOB stating that the bill was not paid because the Dr. was not a participating Dr. I called ins. and was told the Dr. did not renew contract. I called Dr. and low and behold...she has closed her practice. After some research, I found she had located to a group facility.(Why did she not let her patients know?) I still had not heard from her office, even after leaving a mulitude of messages. I did speak with a representative from the new facility and was informed that they have nothing to do with Dr. Rothmans previous practice which would include any billing issues. I had to make an appt with another Dr. for treatment and they requested my records. The facility told them that Dr. Rothman would not release my records as I owed her money. I was not aware I owed her money, have never received a bill. I was also told that my records were slated for collections. How can this be? She is holding my records hostage.Anyone have a good attorney?

I do not know what you people could be talking about. I used to look forward to going to that office. They cared about me and my desire to get pregnant. I have a 10 yr. old daughter thanks to her and that whole office rejoiced with me. We could NOT be talking about the same woman. Kathy Weeldreyer

Do not go to this Doctor, she doesn't care about your health and well-being. Aside from giving lousy office visits where she never helped me with my medical problem, getting my medical records form her was even a nightmare. I WOULD NOT ever recommend this doctor.

DON'T GO TO DR. PAULA ROTHMAN! She is THE most uncaring doc I have ever been to. The first time she took her hand (during the pelvic exam) and made a screwing motion. I was shocked, but I didn't say anything,I told myself that maybe it was just a different technique, but it gave me the creeps. I'm 53 and have never had this done to me before. Still, I went back the next year, thinking what's the big deal it's only once a year so buck up. Well my pap smear came back as insuffient cells. That means come back and do it again. This women is a specialist, she should get right the first time. I have never had this in my life, and have had pap smears done by PA's with no problem. She is the most rude dr. I have ever encountered. She makes faces at you when you describe a problem, there are notes all over the patient rooms (if you forget your mammogram rx you will be charged $50). I think NOT. I am not a two year old. She acted like I was asking for morphine when I asked for a rx for a mild diuretic that I have been on for years and given to me originally by a gyn. The answer was NO! She diagnosed me last year with osteoporois . I asked if she could treat me for that & she said "sure". She was out of there FAST. I was told by her only staff that no I can't have rx for actonel. Get it from another dr. I feel she is a controlling bully. Please don't be stupid like me. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! We deserve better treatment for our bodies.

I was like everyone else who posted - I waited a long time. I don't really see why they make appointments because you are never on time. I only get to spend about 5 minutes with the doctor. I tried to talk to her about a couple of issues I was having and she just seemed rushed and as though she was not even listening. Most of my questions were never acknowledged and the one concern I had that she halfway paid attention to she gave a generic answer that didn't even apply to the issue. She gave the vibe through her demeanor that I was ridiculous for even asking and then she left the room. Once she was in the hall I heard her talking to her staff about my concern mocking me and pretty much coming to the conclusion that was lying about what was going on. I will never go back to her again. I do agree that she is quick, maybe she is efficient but she is in the wrong business. When you get into healthcare you are supposed to be aware of the fact that you are treating people everyday. If you don't enjoy that you shouldn't be in the field.

I didn't think to highly of her after the wait time to begin with, but will in the waiting room I watch this one staff member run answering phone getting chart the even taking us back to rooms. She was trying to work so hard. Once the doctor came into the room at least 1HOUR later she was frustrated and annoyed like I was a burden on her. She hardly even spoke to me. When I moved a little due to pain she looked a me and said whats the problem you can't expect me to do this exam if your going to keep moving. All she had to do was be gentle. Once she left the room a sat there unsure of what to do she just walked out. I got dress and hurt her being extremely rude to her staff and the poor girl looked like she was about to be in tears. As I left I told her I was so sorry. This office is very disorganized, dirty and I will not ever be bad there.

I have been her patient for around 13 years and always met a doctor in good mood and willing to discuss my problems. She works fast but I don't consider that rudeness, I call it effectiveness. She is the kind of person I prefer, no nonsense and straight forward and I have never had to question her knowledge in her field of medicine. I am very happy with her and her staff.
