This without a doubt is the worst medical practice of its kind. Office staff are so unprofessional; never can reach a nurse or have someone call you back. I attempted one week to get a prescription refill on a much needed medication which needed to be taken orally. Never even received a phone call & when I called the nurse she acted so unprofessional when I finally got her on the phone. The doctors take no interest in you; you are just another person to them--they want to get you out & charge you for every penny & then move on to the next person. Before Family Dermatalogy came along, I was very pleased with Georgia Skin Cancer and Dr. Chotiner. Unfortunately he retired and this pathetic group took over. I would never recommend this group to even my worst enemy. This is not my first bad experience with this group. I have been a patient for some time. Now I have moved on to a different group who is top notch.

I had 4-5 visits with Dr. Mitra Mofid, all qualify as the worst experience. Starting with the office not having my appt.listed when I came for the 1st visit. Ending with a huge challenge to get records faxed to a new doctor (took 3 weeks and 7 tel calls). The doc rushed through the visits, and was quick to put me on all kinds of medications, and send to four different tests for no apparent reason. The office staff was horrible. They bill incorrectly, and it is impossible to have them fix the problems. You can never get a call back, and they had hard time finding me in their system every time I called. One of my appt's had to be rescheduled 3 times, as the doctor would end up working from a different location, and somehow it was only known a day prior. Look elsewhere.

I had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Nelson. When I arrived for the appt. I was placed in an examination room to wait for Dr. Nelson. In walks another Dr. No one at the office ever told me that Dr. Nelson would not be there nor did they offer me a chance to reschedule when she was there. I started receiving incorrect billing statements that said I owed an amount around $40. I called the office billing dept and left several messages for at least a month. I left a new message at least once a week for about a month. Finally, after leaving yet another frustrating message, a woman calls me back. I explained to her that I understand the office may be busy, but to have NOTHING said in return was extremely unprofessional. All she could tell me is that they have over 600 phone calls/messages a day. If their operation wants to be so big, they need to staff it properly. My insurance, BCBS had proof that they paid the bill, and Dr. Nelson's ofc simply could not understand that the bill was pd in full. I know it was only $40, but I felt that they did that on purpose because they know that most people give up arguing about $40. I would never go back to this business ever again.
