Paws Whiskers & Claws, Feline Hospital

Other than ER visits for our cats, I have only ever spent $600 on a wellness visit when we owned six cats. From past experiences with vets, a wellness visit for two cats should be around $250, with $300 on the high side. We were charged $613.90! Other than one of our cats being old and us told he had arthritis as well as a heart murmur, both cats were in tip top shape. What drove the price so high was that they did bloodwork on both cats and sold my husband on getting heartworm meds (they didn't get a stool sample) for them even though they are indoor cats. The invoice said that both of those services were done on an annual basis. Great, bloodwork and meds they didn't need. Those services are excessive to do every year in my opinion and, the bloodwork specifically, unecessary stress on our boys.

That all said, our usually "unruly at the vet" kitties were well-behaved due to excellent care.

Addendum: Ingrid did call me today after seeing this review. We had a very constructive conversation. My family will be using this vet again. However, they will need to show better communication skills, specifically with their prices, in order to keep us as customers. I added a star to all three categories for her efforts today.

My pets are my babies!
Just like any parent would want the best doctor for their child I wanted the best doctor for my pets. Dr. Globerman has been our vet for many years and I personally have not met a more qualified vet in the Atlanta area. She and her staff are the BEST! Everyone at PW&C is loving, kind, and EXTREMELY knowledgeable. They are also very good at informing and educating. I trust them wholeheartedly and feel very fortunate that my pets are getting the care they offer. Not only are they genuinely loving with their patients, they are equally as caring with the parents. I couldn't ask for more.

I'm not surprised Atlanta Magazine rated them the best cat clinic in Atlanta. Dr. Globerman has helped me with numerous issues for my cats, including behavioral issues. I take issue with the reviewer who criticized Ingrid, the behaviorist. She is just a very direct, no nonsense person but never rude. The whole staff is great and is even used often by Good Mews cat shelter. You won't be disappointed if you go there, and your kitties will be happy there.

If you want the best in cat care for your feline, go to Paws Whiskers & Claws. Dr. Globerman is exceptional, Ingrid is incredibly knowledgeable and can help with ANY feline behavior issue, and Julia is just as cat-savvy! ALL are experts in their field. They've given excellent care to my 5 kitties and I can't say enough about them. Go to this vet! :)

Who is the vet? Ingrid practices medicine like she is the vet and Dr. Globerman is her assistant. She is totally dominant, condescending and patronizing. The vet and Julia are very good, but the experience is ruined by Ingrid. When she is not looking down her nose at the care you provide for your cat, she is trying to sell you something like a used car salesman. Dr. Globerman is losing business because of her. Ingrid needs to learn how to show compassion and understanding. I will never go to this vet again.
