Where Everybody Knows Your Name
This is a preschool, not a daycare. The teachers and staff delight in seeing the kids thrive. At 16 months, my son comes home all the time with new movements or phrases that are windows into his daily experience. We feel that we are partners with the teachers as he learns and grows. There have been moments that I've needed to question staffing changes or classroom configurations - all farily routine things. The administrators have listened openly and responded quickly each time. One of my favorite things is hearing other teachers and even the kitchen team greet my son by name. How did the people in the kitchen know him, he so young that he eats in his classroom still? I thought I must simply have a child with a charming personality. My dream bubble was happily deflated. When I recommended the school to a friend, she asked me about a week into his enrollment how all of these people knew her son's name. Oh well, maybe my son isn't the most charming child they've ever met. Maybe the team at PRLP knows because they take the time to learn, because they do truly care and want the best for the children who attend their school.
