The service provided by Peachtree Service Experts, now known as Service Experts is excellent in every way. The technician, Mr. Roger Peak, was prompt, professional, efficient and helpful during... the servicing of my air conditioner during the summer, and now in the winter in providing excellent service to my furnace. I would highly recommend Peachtree Service Experts, now know as Service Experts.

FOLLOW UP--FROM BAD TO WORSE

After realizing what crooks these guys are, I had another service company come out to quote--after this company took $99 for a four minute service call that said I needed an $800 motor. Guess what???? I almost paid it. But fortunately, an honest repairman took the motor off, shook it and out came two dead birds. The heater runs like new and it cost me $50.00. SHAME ON YOU, SERVICE EXPERTS. Take the "expert" out of your name.

Bunch of crooks

Showed up and told me my control board was bad. Quoted me $632.00, when I told him that seemed high the price changed to $520. I was cold and needed heat. Amazing how price could change in less than 5 minutes by over $100. A friend who is in the business told me it should have been less than $350 to fix. Unfortunately he was out of town and I was cold. This company use to be good. They grew by acquiring companies and are crooks now.

No longer dependable for me

Technician came out and performed regular maintenance on A/C. That night I noticed it was warmer in the house than it usually is. The next day I noticed the A/C was not working. Called Service Experts and the same technician came out. I explained the proplem and his reply was "I didn't do anything wrong". He replaced the fan for several hundred $$$$. I agreed to the repair because I felt I had no other option. I have used this company for over twenty years and have noticed that the service had become hit or miss. Depends on who you get to come out to your house. Well, my contract expires in March, 2013 and I will be finding me another company to perform my heating and air maintenance.

Don't use these people if you own a rental house

The HVAC until was replaced in a house that we now have as a rental by then Valentine. Service was great, and even Peachtree Service Experts were good, UNTIL we moved and now have this as a rental unit. They refuse to call our Property Manager to schedule service, refuse to change the contact phone numbers on this property, even though we have called a minimum of 6 times to get this to correct this. Not sure if I really trust that they will do what they say they will, if they can't do something as simple as changing a contact phone number so that we can keep this unit serviced. We had to call at least 3 times just to get them to send us a invoice to pay for the Service Agreement - most companies are more than happy to send you an invoice the first time you call.

Bad service

This company claims 24X7, which is misrepresentation. I have spend a half of Sunday trying to get their help. They have now a calling service in PA, which cannot reach anybody in a local office. I spent four hours waiting until finally a calling center representative proposed to re-schedule service. In Monday I spent 6 hours trying to find any manager, and nobody contacted me

Promised 2-4pm, then called at 3:36pm, said 6-8pm.

I called Service Experts (formerly Peachtree Service Experts) to schedule a service call to fix my Air Conditioning unit. Both times I called speaking to two different reps, they said 2-4pm was available, so the second time I called I booked this time. Then, with only 24 minutes remaining before 4pm, they called and said a technician would not be able to come out until the hours of 6-8pm! Result: A wasted Saturday afternoon for my family and me. This is my first experience with Service Experts, and probably my last.

Run from this company!!!

I'm late in posting this, but feel the need to publish my bad experience. Late winter this year the furnace stopped working and a service tech want sent our under our service agreement. He quickly stated the thermostat and furnace motor was broken and recommended a new system over spending close to $1000 for repairs. I had a friend of a friend HVAC tech check it out and it was only a $43 part that needed to be replaced. Apparently, the technicians are incentivised to sell parts and systems. Peachtree Heating and Air has lost all integrity since they were purchased by Service Experts.

Great customer experience.

I called this evening around 7:30 to schedule an after hours appointment. I received a call from the technician approximately an hour later to let me know he was 10 to 15 minutes away. He showed up on time and was extremely professional. I explained to him that my furnace was not coming on and we checked the thermostat. No apparent issues there, so we went to the crawl space to investigate further. William was able to diagnose the issue in less than 5 minutes. My condensate pump was not working correctly. He disassembled, inspected and cleaned both the pump and housing. Upon reassembly the pump was working fine. Another issue surfaced regarding the pressure switch. A little moisture in the line was the culprit and was quickly resolved. I am more than satisfied with the service I received. Not only am I planning to purchase the bi-annual service (which would have identified a potentially defective condensate pump before it became an issue), I will also schedule the service with them to have the pump replaced. I was never "upsold" as many other reviews have stated. In fact, the only thing I paid for was service. Thanks again William and Peachtree Service Experts.

Poor Training or Much Worse?

Poor Training or Much Worse? Posted by WPapanek on 08/30/2011 AC not working, service guy said it was either the Capacitor (relatively cheap) or the entire outside unit would have to be replaced for $2000 to $3000. Capacitor did not fix it so he called in another guy who turned out to be the Sales guy. Sales guy said unit was about 10 years old so we may as well replace the entire system for $6000 to $8000. I thought it was not that old and still under warranty so my wife showed him a receipt left by the previous home owner that showed the unit was only 7 years old. Sales guy told her that receipt was for something else and proceeded to sell us an $8000 unit. I got home from work and verified that it was the receipt and that it was under warranty (all it does is take a call to the manufacturer with the serial number that was on the receipt as well as the back of the unit). Then they tried to tell me the warranty would be only for the person who bought the unit but that is not correct either. I called in another company to do the warranty repair but within 5 minutes they had diagnosed it as a bad fan motor that cost $275 to repair. Just looking into the top of the unit you could see the grease leaking out of the fan motor, they didn't even have to take anything apart.

Peachtree Service Experts replied on 09-10-2011

Walt, we regret that you thought we were trying to talk you into buying equipment when you didn't need one. We try to explain as clearly as possible to our customers what is wrong and what it takes to fix it correctly. If our technician recommended replacing equipment, there most likely was a good reason for it. If there is a low-cost, yet responsible alternative we can suggest, we will. But we do not offer solutions that do not actually fix the problem. If you wish to contact us directly, please email us at CustomerCare@ServiceExperts.com and allow us the opportunity to resolve your concerns if possible.

Expensive

Sales rep came out to my house and quoted a new HVAC system that was more than twice the price of three other estimates.

Peachtree Service Experts replied on 09-10-2011

We appreciate your feedback Tobor. Unexpected expenses, such as most HVAC repairs, are frustrating; we understand. However, Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning believes that our prices are competitive, especially when dependable, high-quality workmanship is taken into account. We invite anyone to compare us to other service reputable HVAC professionals. We hope this explains our intentions and could perhaps earn your business in the future. Regardless, thank you for your comment.

Can't install a system or keep an appointment

I have used Peachtree Service Experts for years and I am not sure why - their company name contains two inaccurate words. They installed a new system in my home about three years ago. A year later they came out to do a service call and realized my system had not been set-up correctly - this does not imply there is an expert involved. The final straw has been the total lack of service. I have had three appointments set up in the past two weeks. Each time I call to check on the status of my appointment, they tell me I called and cancelled the appointment. I have not called to cancel any of the appointements. I am supposedly a preferred customer who pays a premium for this treatment. What a joke.

Peachtree Service Experts replied on 09-10-2011

Hello Billie, thanks for your feedback. Your experience is very concerning to us and we want to address it with you directly. Please reach out to us at CustomerCare@ServiceExperts.com. We will do our best to resolve this matter. Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning cares deeply about our quality and customer service; it truly is what separates us from the competition.
