A Good Group of Doctors but . . ., 3/16/2010

From a dad's perspective, this is overall a good group of doctors. My least favorite doctors were Knoer and Roberts. The nursing and admin staff were great. We're done having kids but if we... weren't we wouldn't come back to this practice because (1) they only deliver at Piedmont Hospital, which has horrible post-partum rooms and a poor understanding of how to accomodate maternity patients and their guests (in comparison to Northside), (2) we had to be referred out to another practice (Atlanta Perinatal Consultants) for standard ultrasound screening for down syndrome and trisomy (the APC sonographer was unprofessional and rude)(a practice of this size in my opinion should have the capability of performing these screenings in-house), (3) one of the doctors refused to retake my wife's blood pressure after it read abnormally high for her late in the pregnancy (he said even if it was high for her it was still within normal range), and (4) the doctor on call the day after my wife delivered did not physically examine her (she just came into the room, chit-chatted, read the chart, and left).
