Both Shayna and Larry really helped me out with my father's car. He needed some special attention with his older Cadillac and they were pleasant, patient and flexible. They work really hard to improve customer service.

Not sure what has happened to others, but my experience at this particular Pep Boys was AWESOME! I went in for tires, go the help I needed, including a buy 3 get 4th free coupon and a $60 rebate. Also the manager gave me $30 off the alignment, just by politely asking. In and out in just over an hour. The mechanic that worked on my car was gentle with the vehicle and parts as well as thorough in explanation of the services I needed. Will definitely be back!! Likely the best tire shopping experience I have ever had.

Pep Boys of Sandy Springs, GA is now two for two in my book (they will not get the chance to go three for three). First strike was when I brought my car in for an oil change, was quoted a price, and left my car off. When I returned they wanted more than double the price I had IN WRITING. They said the price I was quoted was incorrect, the representative was new and ill informed, and they could not honor the price quoted. I negotiated a price half way between the quoted and the double price. Not a lot of money but you have to question a company that will throw their reputation away so easily. Strike two was when I called and asked if they could replace a fuse for me (I could not get at the fuse box). The customer rep said sure just bring the car in and tell them you spoke with "Rhonda". Well, I brought the car in and they said it was not worthwhile for them to just replace a fuse and that I would first have to pay for an "electrical valuation". I explained that all I wanted was the fuse changed and would understand if that did not fix my problem (my heater fan was not working and my owner's manual said to first replace the fuse before opting for more expensive services). They had a consultation and returned to effectively tell me to go pound sand and that they would not (they actually said "could not") help me.

When reading these reviews, keep in mind, there is a serice/repair shop, and an inside autoparts store. This review is for the store part. I've been there 5 or 6 times, and while there are a couple salespeople who arent as good as the top guys in terms of customer service, most are very good and all know tons about cars and parts. Their prices are also a lot better than Napa down the street. They special ordered a part for me (no charge for shipping), and when I asked, one guy went out to my car and showed me where it goes and the tools I would need to put it in myself (the dealiship I got an estimate from wanted $194 for the part, plus 1 hour labor charge to install). Pep boys sold me the part for $90+tax. And explained to me how to do it myself.

Pep Boys is a little on the pricey side, but it is worth every penny. Everyone at this location is honest, hard working, and on your side. They have even repaired bad work from other businesses without question. Highly recommended to anyone!
