Pep Boys on Austell Rd should be renamed Rip Off Boys. I took my car in and was told it could be repaired in 2-3 hours. I said okay- let's do it even though the price seemed expensive. The problem was supposedly something with CO2 sensors. The parts they said were expensive. The check engine light was on- and this was their diagnosis- the sensors needed to be repaired. 7 hours later I was left with a car that was not driveable and they did not offer me a ride home, supply me a car or offer to pay for a cab ride home. When I got irate that I have no car now, it's my only mode of transportation - they said- "well, can't you call someone?" This was a Friday night at 7pm. They had to get a part from the dealership-which was closed at that hour and while removing a part- they broke the bolt which holds the part in place. So I had to wait the next day for it to be repaired. They said they would knock 10% off the bill for "my inconvenience." That was after they added another 75 dollars to the bill. So in the end that 10% was a 64 dollar savings on a 500 plus bill. I demanded that more be taken off. This is ridiculous and horrible customer service. I was told I would have to talk to the manager Monday morning. Well, on Sunday- my check engine light came on again. I am livid!! The problem has not even been resolved. Monday the manager refused to do anything, wanted to work on the car again. I am not letting these incompetents touch my car ever.

Service manager was rude, discourteous, and argumentative. Not all their prices are competitive with other service/parts retailers. It would pay to shop around before committing. Regardless of their prices, I wouldn't shop there again for car service.

Pep Boys is a great auto repair shop. While I have had my words with employees in the past, I HAVE NEVER not been properly treated as long as I talk to the right people. Their employees are for the most part kind, courteous, and knowledgable. They offer some of the best warranties on tires, and brakes out there. I LOVE THEM!

Personally, I did not have a great experience with this establishment. My vehicle was acting most unusual and this was the nearest stop. Pep Boys informed me that my battery was bad and I needed a new one. I did not allow them to put one in for I'd just purchased the battery a few months back. I returned to said place of purchase. They tested the battery and it performed fine. Has been performing fine ever since. It certainly made me suspicious. I would not take my vehicle here again.

The Pep Boys of Union City gets no stars from me. They gave my vehicle a diagnostic in an attempt to find the reason why the engine light remained on. They found $600 worth of problems and the light remained on after keeping the vehicle more than 24 hours- a huge inconvinence. After taking the vehicle to another automotive provider, I learned the problems were bogus. They would not own up to it. I thought about filing a claim but I chalked it up as one hard lesson. But you become prejudice to a brandname and it makes it unfair to the ones who do good work.

Poor brake work which had to be constantly readjusted for several months. I would not reccomend taking my vehicle there again.

These guys have every possible part you could need, but I wasn't a big fan of their service garage. Always seemed to need an overnight stay in their lot.

Took my car in for inspection and they did it for free i give them that. However, when the did the inspection I was told i needed 4 new rotors and 4 new brake pads a total of roughly 600 bucks. I went to library took a book about rotors and brakes. Learned how to change them and everything. I ended up only needing 1 new rotor and 2 new brake pads, i inspected the other rotors and they were fine and bads the back pads were not even half way used. I ended up spending 90 bucks and it took me about an hr to do it. I do not trust Pep Boys at all.
