Because I had originally decided to go to them based on positive reviews, I find it only fair to prospective customers to provide this info: They worked on my Mini Cooper several times, two weeks ago replacing the hoses on my power steering pump, at a cost to me of $300.00. The Stop Repair Bills coverage I have would not cover hoses, so I footed the entire bill. A week later, the power steering pump itself went out, which IS covered by this ext. warranty policy. When Performance Motors corresponded with the company re the repair, the company directed them to their source for the pump, which cost over $200.00 less than the Performance Motors price for the same. Performance refused this, Charley telling me that "the profit margin for the job is so low we have to charge the full price for the pump, in order to make a profit". Had they been willing to honor the extended warranty arrangement, as they had said they would, I would have paid only the $100.00 deductible for the entire repair. As it is I was forced to pay another $329.00, with the $229. difference again being out of my pocket, all so they could make a profit on the part! (And I had just paid them $300 the week before for replacing the hoses for the PS pump.) I asked the owner, Pete, if he could please work with me on this, recalling that I'd had to pay the first $300 charge in full the week before. He adamantly refused. Clearly their profits come before good customer service and sound ethics.
