I attended Personal Tactics Basic Defensive Pistol class last October, right after I returned from a combat deployment in Afghanistan. I am a Combat Engineer in the Georgia Army National Guard, and have received training with the M9 service pistol, and carried it on combat operations; I've also been shooting most of my life. That being said, I didn't realize how much I did not know about fighting with a handgun until I took this class. It's much more than shooting. Robert teaches you to fight with your gun, using simple, dependable and real-world proven weapons manipulation techniques. Every technique is explained, demonstrated in detail, and then drilled to muscle memory. Range time is an experience. It's stressful, but informative. You get to see why the techniques taught work, and further refine your skills. The class isn't all about the range though. Robert goes into extreme detail regarding the laws on carrying, and God forbid, using a firearm in a defensive situation. He covers the physical, mental and legal aspects; before, during and after the fight. I have since become POST certified and am employed as a Police Officer. This class paid dividends during the Academy training. I was already proficient with the techniques taught, and was in the top of my class on the range; all due Personal Tactics. I look forward to returning and taking the advanced class. I highly recommend Personal Tactics to anyone who owns a handgun.

We were blown away with everything from start to finish. My wife and I will be back for the advanced class for sure! Thanks guys...this was a life-changing experience. (I don't mean to be dramatic, but it really was)

I wish I could speak for their actual training, as I was really looking forward to it, but I cannot. I could not even get my reservation made with these guys. Unresponsive equals unprofessional. If they are upset about how Kudzu has handled or mis-handled whatever coupons they have released on their behalf, they shouldn't hold it against potential or future clients. I don't know if it's lack of business acumen on their part or just an apathy towards clients who may not have paid full price for a training class, but either way it's not good for public relations. They have lost me as a future client and a few other folks I know as well. Be careful working with these guys and insist they follow through. You may want to pay full price so you stand a better chance of them responding.

We have honored ALL KUDZU and other deals. We always provide professional training and strive to treat everyone with respect. I am sorry if we did not respond, however please call or email and we will get you in the very next class. If you do not wish to attend I understand and we will provide you with a FULL REFUND.
I'm a LEO and decided to take this class because I felt like I needed more weapon skills. I didn't feel confident with my training. Robert (who teaches this class) is great. He has a no BS approach. His only motive is to teach people what they need to know to stay alive if they are ever confronted in a potential lethal situation. He WILL teach you how to react, how to shoot, and you will gain confidence in your abilities when this class is over. I will take the advanced class and am looking forward to it. Thanks Personal Tactics for such a great experience!

I just finished taking my third class from Personal Tactics. I've taken the basic pistol , the advanced pistol and just finished the Sudden violence class. Without a doubt this is some of the best training you can find anywhere. I highly recommend these guys if you're serious about self defense.

"Basic Defensive Pistol" class was a wonderful introduction to defensive firearms use, and I seek additional training from Personal Tactics. Robert is direct and informative, and gives justification for his methods rather than relying on blind faith. In addition, he demands that his students demonstrate that they have learned the material. You pay these guys to train you, and they insist on training you - A+

I took the basic defensive pistol course last month, and can honestly say this was the best firearms training class I've ever taken! Robert (our instructor) knows his stuff, and the way he teaches the class helps to re-enforce the skills he teaches you. Robert is tough (he is an ex marine) on you during the course, but I GUARANTEE you will be praising him when you get home and reflect on what you learned. I just signed up for the advanced pistol class, and am planning to take the tactical rifle class this summer. That should tell you what I thought of my first class with Personal Tactics!

PT, In Navy aviation we train like we fight, and we fight like we've trained. Your Basic Pistol was not just another day at the range. Professional. Focused. Disciplined. Dedicated. Real world and useful. Well worth more than your fee. What price ability, confidence, and poise. Well done. I'll be back for more. Daniel Conyers GA

I recently took the Basic Defensive Pistol course offered by Personal Tactics. I learned skills related to handling my gun in stressful and life threatening situations. The instructors were extremely skillful and knowledgeable about the weapons as well as other aspects of handling yourself when under attack such as legal implications. They conducted the class in a very organized and safe environment. I can't imagine anyone owning a pistol and not taking this class. The class was in Peachtree City which is right at an hour away from where I live but I have to say it was well worth the money and time. Robert and Harlan have extremely good control over the class. Robert is very knowledgeable. I didn't doubt a single thing he said. He used real world examples and life experiences to illustrate his point. Some of the things he mentions, I never would have thought about but he covers them in detail and gives suggestions as to how he would handle them. The basic course is a 2 day course. The first day is lecture based with some dummy round practice. The lecture was very relaxed, informative, and "casual". The second day was at the range actually shooting. They handled the shooting day efficiently and safely. Robert and Harlan are both very concerned with safety. I highly recommend Personal Tactics to anyone that has and/or carries a handgun. I would recommend the class to anyone as their first hand gun course.

A tool is only as good as the operator handling it. When that tool is potentially lethal, the operator ought to know how to use it! I chose Personal Tactics for the amount of training and accreditation the instructors have. My choice paid off! I now have complete confidence that I can safely and effectively respond to a life-threatening confrontation and win. The instructors were thorough and competent and answered any questions a student may have had. "When seconds count, the police are only minutes away." Thank you, Personal Tactics!
