Pet play house on Ponce is the best dog daycare facility in the city of Decatur. The customer service is great and the prices are affordable and convenient. My dog has the opportunity to exercise while I'm at work and that is tremendously beneficial. I would definitely recommend this business to individuals seeking to ensure their animal exercises while they are at work.

I have used PPH for 6 years. They have several web cameras which makes it easy to check on your pet day or night. The staff has always provided excellent service. The facilities are always clean and sanitary. The owner has a heart for the community and is continually giving back.

They are the best! My dogs LOVE going to "PPP" and are completely exhausted when they come home. They even boarded my dogs overnight for free when I was in labor and only charged us for daycare as a congratulations! They really take care of you and your dogs!

We love having them play with us just as much as they love it too!! Truman & Heru are welcome to "unleash" the fun any day they are here!!
Our Sheltie, Timmy, loves this place! And his moms do as well! Right after we got Timmy, we looked at three different doggie daycare places to decide which we liked the best. Hands down, we both agreed on Pets Playhouse on Ponce and we have not been disappointed! The owners and the staff are definitely people we trust with our boy!

Wow! This place is awesome! My dog loves to go to the Playhouse; especially on the weekends. Sean, the owner, has a really nice set up for play and socialization. And most importantly, they pay attention. I've had no problems whatsoever and highly recommend this business! Your dog will come home exhausted, fall right asleep, and that's priceless!

As soon as we turn onto Ponce and Mac knows we are headed to Pets Playhouse he starts jumping all over the car excitedly because he knows where he's going. I can hardly calm him down long enough to get his leash on and get him out of the car before he honks the horn a couple times in the parking lot when we arrive because he can't sit still. Yes, I do have a very hyper dog. Which is why, after a day at Pets Playhouse, I love my mellow Mac, who is very happy, relaxed, and pooped. It finally gives me time to relax as well. And any time I need to board him when I go out of town he comes back to me as if no time has gone by. It's great to be able to check in on the videocams, too. They are also indulgent to Mac's ball fetching obsession. I won't take him anywhere else.

I just had my 2 dogs groomed at Pet's Playhouse by Allison Thomas. She did an amazing job!!! I have taken my dog to several differnt groomers in the Atlanta area including Pet Co. And she is by far the bet with great prices!I was so amazed about how great my two puff balls looked and they actualy smelled great too! She works wonders with these dogs and I will surely be returning to have her groom my dogs again.

I have tried a few other places in the past and my Jack just couldnt wait to go home and was almost scared to go in.I didnt think to much about it cause my big boy hates the vet but they dont do anything wrong. It wasnt until my dog got in a fight with another dog and they had no clue what happened. Aren't they suppose to be watching my dog along with all the other dog? And to top it all off I had to pay the vet bill. While I was at the vet I had asked if they knew of any other daycares in the area and they recommend Pets Playhouse on Ponce. I have been going in a 3-4 times a week for about 2 1/2 months now and Jack adjusted quikly after a few days. No more being scared to go inside and as happy as he is to see me when I pick up he doesn't really seem like he wants to leave. I love watching him on the cameras and watching him play with everyone handlers/dogs!

I tried this place about 2 years ago because they a good coupon offer. I was not impressed back then but I needed to board my dog again last weekend and was not familiar with any other place. This time I picked up my dog covered in fleas and filthy. It also looked like he has a bite on his rear end that had crusted over. When I mentioned how dirty he was to the guy at the counter the only response I received was "well you could have opted for a bath". When I took him home I stuck in in the tub and noticed that there were scratches and bite marks all over his man parts and rear end. He also would not eat. I took him to my vet and was told that he picked up some parasite which is common from these kind of boarding places. So I spent $150 to board him and $650 at the vet. He did not eat for almost a week. I don't know what they did to him there...but stay as far away from that place as you can.

THIS IS A FAKE PROFILE!! This user made this review specifically to do harm to Pet's Playhouse. After carefully reviewing the financial records of all pets in our facility for the last SIX WEEKS, there were NO PETS fitting this description in our building. We do not appreciate whom ever is doing this. You will be reported promptly to Kudzu.
I pay good money to leave my 14 1/2 year old Golden Retriever at a place like this when I travel in an attempt to make sure he is watched over and kept safe. When I picked him up yesterday from Pets Playhouse, he had been attacked by another dog. His tail had been clawed and chewed so bad that all the fur was completely gone and the tail below was a blood red mess. Even though it happened a few days before we picked him up, and even though we spoke with them the day before to extend his stay one day because of a delay returning from our trip, they did not mention anything about it to us until after we had paid the $480 bill. I feel so bad for my poor dog right now. I can not with a good conscious ever leave an animal to be neglected here again.

Marty, I'm so sorry that Oberon has gone through this experience. I personally know how you feel - one of my pets had to have her leg amputated this past Christmas due to an attack from a coyote - so I can equally sympathize. But let's put things into perspective: 1. We have been caring for Oberon for nearly the past two years, giving him the best possible care and treatment that we'd give our own personal pets; when his legs failed him we would be there to carry him out for his walks, when he'd soil himself, we'd be there to clean him up. Not until now have you ever posted a review, which is fine. But let's not let our emotions control our objectivity. 2. As much as I'd love to never have a pet be injured, unfortunately, it's unrealistic to think that it doesn't happen. Oberon, whether his medication had any direct result or not, was placed in his own run (a 5ft by 8ft space) for nighttime. During the course of the night his tail made it's way under the wall separating his run from the pet next to him, and the dog in that run pulled the hair off his tail. We know this by the evidence we found the next morning. Our employees cleaned the wound, bandaged it and notified the manager, all what I'd expect for the care of my own pets. 3. I came in the next day, under the assumption that you had been notified, and inspected the wound. I'm certified in pet cpr and first aid, and I determined that the wound was healthy (not infected) and as sorry as I felt for poor Oberon, would be an injury that would heal just fine. I re-clean his tail and put a fresh bandage on him. 4. When you called and subsequently picked him up, you were told of his injury, according to my staff, as you were checking him out. Not all of our 13+ employees were here during the time of his injury, and were not the ones who were in charge of Obie's care. They wouldn't be the ones to confer questions to. 5. Upon hearing about how upset you were about not being called, I immediately attempted to contact you. After several attempts and emailing back and forth, we got in touch with you, and we offered and did pay Obie's vet bill. I freely admit that we dropped the ball in communicating with you about this incident. However, as far as his care in our facility, I strongly disagree with your opinion. Under the circumstances, he was cared for to the best of anyone's ability, whether he was here or any where else. Again, I'm sorry your pet was injured in our facility. Thank you, Shaun - General Manager
I was using another boarding facility closer to home but am more than willing to make the drive to PPH. So glad I found this place. PROS: 1) Hours. PPH is a lot more flexible with drop-off & pick-up times by having longer hours, even on weekends. 2) Website. Everything I need to know & do is on their site: register, make reservations, check on him via their multiple web-cams. They're also on Facebook & frequently post photos & other info. 3) Facility (open play areas). A LARGE OUTDOOR AREA!! This was really the major selling point for us; my dog loves being outside & you can really see a difference in all of the dogs playing, running around, tails wagging, & napping (3 outdoor web cams!). The indoor play room is also fantastic & has couches (another ideal feature for my dog). There's always staff present to monitor the dogs & keep things "picked up" & clean. 4) Facility (overnight lodging). The individual sleep areas are a good size & I'm able to bring his bed, blanket, toys, food, snacks from home so he's comfortable. 5) Other. Prices are fair, staff is friendly, & they do a great job screening dogs & verifying current shots. After his screening assessment, I was given a 'Report Card'-love that! CONS: I truly don't have any & hope that continues! THANK YOU PPH!!

Thank you!! We are so glad to have the opportunity to take care of your pet!!
I am new to the Atlanta area and have tried a couple of dog daycares. After I read the many positive reviews of Pet's Playhouse, I decided to give them a try. The above-average reviews led me to have high expectations and in the end, let me down. My first visit to register my pup: the person at the front desk was disinterested and acted as if he had more important things to do instead of registering my dog. I get it, people are busy, but when talking about dog temperament and answering questions about policies and procedures, attention is required. The second and third visit is what concerned me and makes me see this daycare as average (or below-average). I checked in on my dog throughout the day from my work pc and my cell, on both days my dog spent the entire day INSIDE. On both days, there was no adverse weather (mid-70s and breezy) and everytime (9am, 11am, 2pm, 4pm) I checked the cameras, my dog was kept in the inside area with all the other dogs. Throughout the day, there were about 14 dogs in an a 12x20 foot area with one staff member. It's disappointing, my dog LOVES being outside and running around, which is why I pay to take him to daycare. And for benefit of the doubt, perhaps, the dogs were taken outside, and I just missed it, thus I took him back for another visit. At this point, I don't think it's a coincidence, and that's why I'll be driving a bit further to go to a daycare that I know is giving my dog outdoor time.

We appologize for your unhappiness with our services... I'd be glad to discuss this in more detail; please call and ask for Shaun the General Manager. We've recently been having new cameras and electrical lines/equipment installed to improve the quality of our camera systems. For the safety of the pets and the outside contractors, we had the dogs in the indoor play yards. It is our policy that when play groups are kept inside, they are to be taken outside for at least 15-30 minutes every 1 & 1/2 hours (we don't want to teach your pets to use the bathroom indoors!!) We strive to give our customers and their pets the best possible service, but sometimes exceptions and special occassions arise, making se change how we usually operate. Please call me and I'd be glad to talk with you more about this. Shaun 404-378-1680.
